The Tragedy of True Love {A Mihawk Bittersweet Story}

Chapter 13 (Year 4)

3rd POV:
2 months as passed since [Y/N] moved in with Mihawk and things as normal marriage has it's ups and downs, but overtime, they've overcome them together.

One day, Mihawk noticed [Y/N] feels homesick and always stare out from the window, staring out the ocean. So, before his wife's birthday, he decided to give her a gift that could cheer her up.

"Huh? We're going somewhere, Mihawk?" [Y/N] said, taking down the laundry to fold them before placing them in the basket.

Mihawk nods his head, drinking his red wine and reading the newspaper. "Of course, darling." Mihawk said, taking a sip of his red wine.

[Y/N] smiles before agreeing to go back sailing on the ocean again. "When are we leaving?" She asked. "Tomorrow morning, darling."

They sat in complete silence, enjoying their day for tomorrow to come.

The next day, Mihawk was getting the ship while [Y/N] was setting their belongs in the ship and organizing them to not damage them.

"Ready, Mihawk?" She said, after double checking everything. He nods as he pushes the ship in the water and hops on, taking seat in his throne.

"So, can you tell me where we're going, dear?" [Y/N] said, trying to get some answers sincerely yesterday. "My dear, it's a surprise." Mihawk said, hiding his smirk after seeing his wife begging him to say the surprise.

"Please, Mihawk!" Mihawk shakes his head, making [Y/N] pouts cutely. A moment of silence, "Tell me the surprise!" "No." Mihawk!!!" [Y/N] pouts and Mihawk chuckles by her actions.

After a few weeks of sailing, Mihawk wakes up from his nap to see the island from afar and checks the date. He sees that it's today and stands up to stretch before waking up [Y/N].

Mihawk kneels down and shakes her a bit, "[Y/N]. [Y/N], wake up. We're almost there." He said softly. [Y/N] groans for a bit before slowly opening her eyes, seeing her husband in front of her.

"Hm?" She hummed, rubbing her eyes to get rid of the sleepiness. "We're almost there, darling. The surprise." Mihawk said, never seeing his wife get up so quickly.

[Y/N] rushes to the front to see the island that looked kind of familiar. She tilts her head a bit, confused on the island before feeling Mihawk kiss her head, whispering in her ear.

"Happy birthday, my darling." He pulls away, waiting for the reaction. [Y/N] stood there in shock, completely forgetting her own birthday.

She turns around, tears swelling up as Mihawk spoke up. "Your surprise gift. I've noticed how you always stare out the window and feeling homesick. Then, I remembered you talking about your home island. So, my gift to you is spending time there." He explains.

[Y/N] quickly hugs Mihawk, very tightly as she started to cry into his coat. He wraps his arms around her tightly, smoothing her back and hair and let her cry.

"Thank you, Mihawk...... Thank you..... I love you...." [Y/N] said between sobs, finally feeling better about visiting her island.

Mihawk slowly pulls away and wipes her tears, kissing her eyes. "I love you too, darling. Hope you like your surprise." He said, smiling.

[Y/N] nods and wipes her eyes as well to get rid of the tears. They watched as the ship slowly got closer to the island where [Y/N] grew up in and the memories she made.

Mihawk dances with [Y/N] for a bit, wishing her a happy birthday. He makes sure that it'll be the best day of her life and the years to come.

Because....

It's to celebrate the most important person to Mihawk.💙🌹
