~The bad boys secret~The music was loud, there was no quiet place. I decided not to drink this time since I couldn't do another hangover. To my utter surprise no one said anything to me about what was seen.
I squeeze my way through the crowd to the back patio. It was cold, but it was so much better out here. I sit down on the steps, rubbing my arms. I was wearing black skinny jeans that were distressed, and a tank top, not the smartest choice.
"Well you look cold." I look up to see a guy I've never seen before, I frown.
"Who are you?" I ask.
"Well beautiful, names James. Here." He takes his jacket off and offers it to me. Against my better judgement I accept it. As soon as I put it on the scent of axe body spray fills my nose making me scrunch my nose.
I hated the smell, but I was getting warmer so I wasn't gonna complain.
"So tell me how do I get your number?" He asks smirking.
"I think not." I scoff.
"Aw come on babe. I was a gentleman, I gave you my jacket." He tries to put his arm around and I quickly stand up.
"I only accepted thinking it was a nice gesture, I don't want it if it mean you think you have a chance with me." I take it off and throw it back at him.
"Don't be such a prude babe, I can make you feel things that none of these hicks can." He traps me against the side of the house trying to kiss me.
"Get off." I shove him away but he doesn't go far.
"Just a simple kiss is all I want." This guy was fucking dense.
"Well you're not going to get it from me." I glare. He tries to continue his assault but his plan fails when Maddox steps out. I could see the rage in his eyes.
He grabs the dude by the back of his shirt and yanks him away. "She said leave her alone." He blocks the path between us.
"Ah there is my bestie." James says.
"Fuck off James." Maddox remains in front of me blocking his view of me.
"I got to say I'm surprised you're out here protecting this beauty. What happened to Kayla?"
"How about we settle this the right way?" Maddox says in a deadly serious voice.
"Your on. Meet at the usual spot. Being your new friend. I need something pretty to look at when I beat your ass." James leaves.
Maddox turns around checking me for any injuries. "I'm fine." I reassure him.
"I'm sorry about him. He has always been a jackass." He says.
"It's whatever." I shrug.
"Well lucky for you, it's one in the morning and you aren't drinking. So I get to show you my secret." He smiles.
"Fine as long as it's not outside. It's cold as balls out here." My body involuntarily shivers.
"I have a jacket you can borrow. And I promise I don't expect a kiss for letting you borrow it." He smirks.
