~Bad Breath~"I am to!" I hear Maddie from down the hall.
"Are not!" Laura says.
"What's going on?" I ask once I'm close enough to them.
"She is so mean Tate. She says that I'm not pretty enough to be a vogue model." Maddie glares.
"Why do you two always have to keep arguing over the stupidest things?" I sigh as they bicker back and forth.
"Hey Tatum?" I hear Maddie say.
"What?"
"Why is Maddox looking at you like you're a dessert he has been craving?" She laughs. I turn to see he was in fact staring at me like I had stared at his brownies.
Some guy was talking to him but it was clear he wasn't listening. I quickly look away remembering what had almost transpired last night.
You bet I didn't tell a single soul. "Let's do a breath check in case he comes over and kisses you." Laura gets close almost sticking her nose into my mouth.
"We are not going to kiss." I say.
"Well that's good because your breath stinks." She smirks when I glare.
"We should totally invest in a mouth care pack for her." Maddie says.
"Now you're just being mean." I frown.
"No we only do this because we love you." Laura says.
"Mhm sure." I walk away from them.
Lunch and still no sign of Grace so I send her a quick text. She never misses school. She responds immediately saying she was sick.
"Are you still mad at us?" Maddie asks as they sit down.
"I haven't decided yet."
"Come on Tate you know you love us."
"Fine you're forgiven." I roll my eyes.
"Good. Now can we talk about how Grace is never sick." Maddie says.
"Right it is odd." Laura adds. While they talk about she once showed up to school with the flu. I find my eyes drift over to Maddox. He is sitting with the guy who was talking to him earlier.
This time he was talking to the guy. I watch as his eyebrows come together. I can't help but imagine what would have happened if I let him kiss me last night.
At the thought of it my eyes drift to his lips, they were in a frown. Even from afar they looked so kissable.
They suddenly turn into a smile and when my eyes travel up they were staring at me. I quickly look away and try to focus on the conversation. But it was hard knowing he was looking at me.
'Get a grip of yourself Tatum. You don't want nothing to do with that boy.' I tell my self.
"I'm gonna use the restroom. I'll be back." I get up and go to the bathroom. After using the bathroom i come out and nearly scream.
