~Recovery~<Maddox>
It's been two weeks, two fucking weeks, since I've seen her beautiful hazel eyes. Two weeks since she insulted me. "Maybe you should go home and shower." Laura says.
"I'm not leaving." I mumble.
"Look I get that you have feelings for her, but you're really starting to smell." Maddie adds.
Her friends were just as insulting as her. I don't think I smelled that bad.
"You don't really want her to wake up and see you like this do you? All gross, bags under your eyes, smelling like a cigarette/ corpse."
"That's a very disturbing description." I say sighing. I know I needed to go home and shower. But I hated being away from her.
"Don't worry Mr hot stuff. We will call you if anything changes." Laura says.
"Don't call me that again. But fine I'll go home and clean up." I get up and kiss her head just like always and leave.
"Fucking damn, that is so adorable. I hope I can find someone who cares like that." I hear Maddie say and Laura agree. It brings a small smile to my lips.
I get home and take a hot shower. I felt so much better after. I decide to shave the stubble that was starting to show. Once I finish I get dressed. As I slide my jacket on my phone rings.
I answer immediately. "Hello? What's wrong?"
"God why are you so negative?" Grace asks.
"Grace. Why are you calling?" I ask.
"Maddie said her texts weren't going through and you needed to get back to the hospital." She says.
I didn't think it was possible to feel this way for someone I had met like two months ago. But here I was racing down the damn street in my bike trying to make it back to the hospital.
When I get there I rush in. When I reach the room, the girls are standing out there with tears in their eyes. "Fuck, I told you I shouldn't have left." I glare at them. They look at me confused.
"What? Also you're welcome you smell so much better." Maddie says.
"Something bad happened. Did she -did she.." I couldn't bring myself to say the words.
"No, why would you think that?" That ask looking mortified.
"Oh don't because I got a call to get here as fast as I can. When I get here you're out here crying."
"Girls cry for happy things too." Laura says.
"So it's good then?" I ask. From inside the room there was a clutter of something.
"The fuck are you doing? Did you fucking kidnap me?! Did you remove a kidney?!" I hear her yell. I can't help but actually laugh. It reminded me the time Reed told me about her waking up at her cousins.
"What does that tell you?" Maddie asks laughing.
"I'm outta here." The nurse comes out looking fed up.
