~I don't have Feelings~Finally the weekend rolls around. I have made plans to stay inside and locked in my room. But my friends have a different idea. They storm my room.
"Get your ass up!" Laura says.
"Let me stay in bed." I whine.
"Nope, we have plans today." Maddie says.
"Really what plans are those?" I ask peeking out from my blanket.
"We are going to a party tonight." Grace says happily.
"Yeah I hate to break it to you guys, but do you not see this huge ass bruise on my face?" I gesture to it. It looked a little bit better at least.
"That's why you need to get up. We have a plan for that." Laura says happily.
"Ugh, I don't wanna." I whine.
"Get up or I'll post that picture of you in your strawberry shortcake pajamas." Maddie warns.
"You wouldn't dare." I eye her wearily. She pulls her phone out eyebrows raised.
"Okay, I'm getting up. Just wait for me out there." I say.
"Good." Laura smiles happily as they leave.
I get up and throw on some shorts and a plain shirt. I wasn't dressing to impress anyone. I make sure to grab my sunglasses before leaving.
"You think you'll be fine till dad gets back?" I ask Reed.
"Yes Tate. I'm old enough to be left alone for a couple hours." He rolls his eyes.
"There are some pizza rolls in the freezer." I say before we leave.
"Your brother is such an adorable little boy." Grace gushes.
"He isn't adorable. He is a pain in the ass." I grumble.
"Oh your new boyfriend is checking you out." Laura wiggles her brows. What the hell is she on about now?
I turn to look where she was looking. Maddox was in his driveway wiping a tool off while staring at me.
"Not my boyfriend just the jerk who made me get a black eye." I say getting in the car.
"Come on Tate, you guys would make such a cute couple." Maddie says.
"Let me make it extremely clear for you people. I have never ever wanted to date anyone. I don't need that drama in my life." I say.
"But you've never had a boyfriend, you've never kissed or even held hands with anyone." Laura says.
"How about you guys talk to Grace about this."
"Oh I've had my first kiss." She says.
We all look at her wide eyed. "Really?" Maddie asks.
"Yeah, last year, with that one nerdy guy from AP Lit." She says frowning.
"Shit that was actually a thing?" I ask laughing.
"For about a week." She nods.
"See you're the only one who needs a boyfriend." Laura says backing out of my driveway.
Once we reach the mall, I groan. I hated this mall. Personally I wouldn't even consider it a mall since it was twice as small as a normal one.
They force me to try on some dresses and they even bought me more makeup to cover the bruise.
"I already tried make up it doesn't work." I say.
"That's because you aren't. A pro like us. Now let's get some food, before Maddie dies of starvation." Grace says.
She had been complaining for the last twenty minutes about being hungry.
"Is the baby happy now?" Laura asks.
"How many times have I told you not to call me a baby." She glares.
"Well you kind of are the youngest of us." Grace chimes in.
"Eat your corn dog Grace." She glares making Laura and I laugh.
"Holy smokes." Grace says.
We all look at her for an explanation. "What if I told you, I just saw Kayla walk in with Tommy holding hands?" She says.
Immediately we all turn to look and sure enough they were looking like a couple. "So wrong on so many levels. Poor Maddox." Laura says.
"Poor Maddox? He is lucky to be away from that slut." I scoff.
"Are you sure you don't have feelings for him?" Maddie asks amused.
"Yes I'm a hundred percent I do not have feelings for Maddox Young." I state.
"Mhm." Laura says eyeing me.
"Whatever." I roll my eyes. "Can we talk about something else?"
"Taylor, right?" I want to turn around and hit this dude in the face.
"Taylor?" Maddie asks confused.
"What do you want?" I snap turning to see him and Kayla still holding hands.
"I was just checking on you." He says.
I scoff because this was the second time in five days he'd check on me. As where Maddox asked every single day to the point he was annoying me.
"Why are you pretending you care? Here's what you can do. Take that cheating whore and stay as far away from me." Kayla glares at my name for her.
"Whatever you stuck up bitch." He grumbles and they leave.
"That was intense." Grace says.
"Is it because your mom?" Maddie asks gently.
"I guess. Just why would anyone cheat on their significant other? It's fucked up." I grumble. My mood was now sour and I just wanted to go home.
They convinced me to go to a few more stores before they finally took me home. "We will come by later to help with the make up." Laura says before she leaves.
Glancing over he was still out there working on his bike, but he was no shirtless. I roll my eyes and walk up to the porch. There was a letter address to me on the door.
Immediately I recognized the writing and my blood ran cold. "Oh hell no." I grab it ripping it up and stomping on the little pieces.
When I get all my anger out, I realize I had an audience. Well I guess I can't call it that since it was only one person. I glare at him then give him the finger and he just chuckles at me.
"Dick." I say loud enough for him to hear before storming into the house.
Reed was still on the couch playing his game. I got to my room and decide to take a nap before I had to get ready.
