~Simple yes or No~

I frown when I see Grace is outside to pick me up. I look over to see his bike was gone. Was he avoiding me after I pushed myself on to him.

"What are you doing here?" I ask getting in.

"Maddox asked me to pick you up. Said something about having to run an errand." She says.

"Are you sure he isn't avoiding me? Because I sort of pushed myself on him yesterday." I say.

"I'm sure he isn't avoiding you." She chuckles. I realize, she is driving the long way to school and she is going very slow.

"What are you doing?" I ask.

"We are a little early figured it's best to go the long way to waste some time." She shrugs.

I roll my eyes and just close my eyes. "We are here!" Grace announces. I open my eyes to see we were at school. We get out and walk in together.

As we walk through the halls, I can't help but look around. I didn't see Maddox anywhere. When we reach my locker Maddie and Laura are arguing.

"I swear we can never leave you two alone." Grace sighs.

I open my locker to find a bouquet of roses. "What's this?" I ask looking at them. They were the only ones who knew my locker combination.

"I don't know." They all say in unison.

"Liars." I grab the little card that was attached.

In the most creative cursive writing it says:

I'm sorry I wasn't able to give you a ride this morning. These flowers are just one of many gifts you will receive today.

I look towards the girls who have started their own conversation. I grab my books and close my locker and head to class. I make sure to keep my eyes peeled for any more gifts.

I don't find anymore, also still no sign of Maddox. When we walk into the lunch room I spot a plate with a lid on our table.

"This better be what I think it is or I'm going to castrate that man." I mumble lifting the lid.

It was indeed a plate of his brownies. I grab the card and take a brownie. I smack Maddie's hand as she tries to take one. "No ma'am these are mine. I scold her.

I grab the card and read it, it's in the same hand writing.

These were my first gift to you. I know you're addicted to them. How do I know? You showed up in the middle of the night to my house asking for some. I will gladly make them for you whenever you want them!

Damn right he would make me them whenever I wanted. "Can't you share at least one?" Maddie whines.

"Hell no. They are like drugs. And I'm not willing to sacrifice one." I stick my tongue out.

"Meanie." She glares.

"Have you seen Maddox anywhere?" I ask.
