reece and autumn walked into the kitchen and quickly scanned around. the counters shining, everything organised except for the vase in the sink. autumn walked over to the sink and picked up a petal of a flower. "a black rose." reece turned his attention from the missing knife in the knife block to autumn. reece walked over and picked up a piece of glass. "dad has the same vase i think." she looked at reece and back to the sink. "come on." she lightly grabbed his arm before walking towards the living room.

reece followed behind aut. every once in a while looking over at the knife block. "aut shes not here i think we should check upstairs" reece said as he turned his head away from the kitchen and back to aut. aut turned and looked around one last time. "okay" they knew she had to be upstairs so they started to walk up the stairs when reece paused. "shh" he said to autumn. "the showers on" reece looked up the stairs. aut was looking upstairs as-well. "its coming from mias room" reece carried on upstairs as aut followed. they both stopped at mias bedroom door. they still heard the shower. the bathroom was connected to mias room. the door on the right side of the room led into the bathroom. reece knew that from when they were together.

Autumn hovered her hand over the handle. she slowly pulled the handle down and swung the door open. the bed was made and all of the room looked brand new. the was no movement in the direction of the bathroom, just the falling water. autumn cautiously walked around, taking in everything including the numerous girls aloud posters. when she was little she remembered dancing to girl's aloud with mia and reece trying to fit in with them both. she smiled to herself softly and slowly stepped around the room. reece was still in the doorway looking around when he noticed something on the bed.

"aut" reece said, cautiously walking over to the bed. "a note" autumn turned around and started to walk over to where reece stood. next to the letter laid a beautiful, black rose. autumn picked it up and spun it around a bit. "its the same flower the smashed vase in the sink had in it." she placed the flower down carefully and lifted the note. reece took a step forward so he could see the note. autumn unfolded the note.

'im sorry to whoever finds me, i have left individual notes to my loved ones on the side. im sorry, this was my way of getting out, my way of freeing myself from this place. i have lived a decent life but all life comes to an end at some point. everyone dies, everyone will. now is my time. i will try and light up the sky even on gloomy days. please dont be sad when im gone, its for the best. keep shining.

"oh shit" reece said "shit, shit, shit!" he ran over to the bathroom door and tried to open it. he pushed down the handle. locked. he tried again and again. autumn was still staring at the note. she was in shock. the note fell out of her shaky hands and onto the wooden floor. she turned to reece who was now trying to barge in. "reece move" reece looked back while still barging repeatedly into the door. "just move" autumn made her way to the door and reece stepped to the side. autumn positioned herself sideways and moved her arms sideways before quickly barging into the door. the door instantly swung open and she ran in.

she was heartbroken at the sight. mia was fully clothed, mascara running down her cheeks along with tears. she had a knife up to her throat and her hand was shaking. reece looked at the knife and realised. he knew there was a missing one from the knife block. the water from the shower was falling in-front of mia who positioned herself sat down under the shower head. the knife had already made a shallow cut against her bare skin and mia was slowly applying more pressure.

autumn quickly realised that she had froze at the sight and tried to bring herself to reality. "MIA!" she shouted as she ran towards the shower door. mia froze at them words and she felt her blood go cold. she wasnt fast enough. she wasnt fucking fast enough. she still had the knife up to her throat but she was no longer applying pressure. instead she was frozen in place, tears still falling down her face. warm blood was trickling down her neck and the fresh wounds on her arms were bright red.

autumn almost pulled the door off the shower and she grabbed the knife, sliding it back towards reece. she didn't care if she got wet from the shower she just cared about mia. she held mia close and mia sobbed into auts shoulder. aut was heartbroken at how upset and vulnerable mia looked. reece was stood in the doorway as he watched the two. mia looked so. heartbroken. what would charlotte say if she knew she caused this much pain? but it wasn't all charlottes fault. reece didn't know who to blame but he knew mia was struggling more than charlotte.

back at marjories house, charlotte was sat watching netflix when marjorie walked in. "hiya, you alright my love?" marjorie sat down next to charlotte who was eating a bag of Doritos. "yeah im good" marjorie smiled, unsure of what to say. "reece is with aut by the way." char nodded and went back to focusing on the tv. marjorie knew charlotte had accepted it now. she had started to heal. charlotte was no longer a worry. marjorie smiled and also focused on the tv.
