Chapter Title: "A Plan in Motion"
---
The soft hum of the early morning air conditioner filled the room as Y/N stirred slightly in bed. It was 7:00 AM, and her alarm was set to go off soon, but as she reached over to her side, she was surprised to find the bed empty. Her hand brushed the cool sheets where Lizze usually lay, and she felt a pang of sadness.
Rubbing her eyes, Y/N sat up, still half-asleep, wondering where Lizze had gone so early. She stretched, her mind running through the day ahead—training, meetings, more press work—but all she could think about was the absence of Lizze next to her.
Then she noticed a small note propped on her bedside table, written in Lizze’s familiar handwriting. Picking it up, Y/N smiled as she read it:
"Morning, love. Had to run some errands early. Don't miss me too much! I'll see you soon. Love you!"
Y/N chuckled softly, feeling a bit better. With that, she got out of bed, shaking off the lingering sadness, and headed to get ready for the day.
---
Meanwhile, Lizze was already out and about. She had woken up at 5:00 AM, eager and nervous. Today was the day—a day she had been planning for the past four months. After dressing quickly and taking the dogs, Oscar and Lucky, for a quick morning walk, she left Y/N’s note and headed down to the hotel lobby to grab a quick breakfast.
By 6:00 AM, she was at the private plane terminal with Oscar and Lucky by her side, patiently waiting. The dogs sat calmly at her feet, but Lizze’s heart was racing. This was the moment she had been building toward, and she couldn’t wait for everything to fall into place.
Soon, the plane she had been waiting for touched down. Lizze’s heart skipped a beat as she saw the doors of the private jet open, revealing River and Dua. As soon as River spotted her, the boy’s face lit up, and he bolted down the steps, running straight into Lizze’s open arms.
“Lizze!” River shouted with excitement as he hugged her tightly. The dogs, too, wasted no time in running up to River, showering him with happy, wet kisses.
Lizze laughed, hugging him back. “Hey, buddy! I missed you!”
“I missed you too!” River said, his laughter contagious as he tried to pet both dogs at once.
Dua, standing at the top of the stairs, smiled warmly at the scene. She made her way down to greet Lizze, watching as River continued to play with the dogs.
“Hey, Lizze,” Dua said as they embraced. “How are you?”
“I’m good! Excited,” Lizze replied with a nervous laugh. “You ready to head to your new house?”
Dua nodded. “Yeah, let’s go! River’s been talking about decorating his new room the whole flight.”
As they loaded up into the car, heading toward Dua’s new house in Orlando, Lizze felt a sense of calm wash over her. The day was finally here, and everything was starting to fall into place.

Once they arrived at Dua’s new house and got River settled, Lizze and Dua shared a quiet moment while River played with the dogs in the backyard.
Dua turned to Lizze, sensing something was up. “You’ve got that look, Liz. What’s going on?”
Lizze took a deep breath, the weight of her plan resting on her shoulders. “Actually, I wanted to talk to you about something. Today’s the day I’m planning to ask Y/N to marry me.”
Dua’s eyes widened with excitement. “Are you serious? Oh my god, that’s amazing!” she said, pulling Lizze into a hug.
Lizze smiled, her nerves starting to fade. “Yeah, I’ve been planning it for months. I wanted to make it really special for her, and River’s going to be part of the surprise too.”
“That’s so sweet,” Dua said, her expression softening. “Y/N’s going to love it. You’ve always been so thoughtful.”
Lizze hesitated for a moment, then asked softly, “You’re okay with this, right? I know it’s a big step, and I wanted to make sure you’re comfortable with everything.”
Dua smiled warmly. “Lizze, I couldn’t be happier. Y/N deserves to be happy, and so do you. You’ve been amazing with River, and he absolutely adores you. You’re already like family.”
Lizze let out a breath of relief. “Thank you, Dua. That means the world to me.”
Dua placed a hand on Lizze’s shoulder. “Just promise me one thing—never hurt her. Y/N’s been through a lot, and I know she loves you. You make her happy. Don’t ever lose sight of that.”
Lizze nodded, her heart full. “I promise. I love her more than anything.”
---
After their conversation, Lizze turned to River, who was now sitting with Oscar and Lucky, playing quietly.
“Hey, River, come here for a second,” Lizze called softly.
River looked up, curious, and ran over to Lizze, a big smile on his face.
“What’s up, Lizze?”
Lizze knelt down to his level, taking his small hands in hers. “I wanted to talk to you about something important. You know how much I love your Mama, right?”
River nodded enthusiastically. “Yeah! You’re always with us, and we have so much fun!”
Lizze smiled, her heart swelling with affection. “Well, I was thinking... I want to ask her to marry me. And if she says yes, that means we’d all live together—you, me, Mama, Oscar, and Lucky. How do you feel about that?”
River’s eyes lit up with excitement, and he threw his arms around Lizze’s neck, hugging her tightly. “Yes! I want you to marry Mama! I don’t want to leave you or Lucky behind in LA. I want us to be a family forever!”
Lizze hugged him back, her eyes welling up with happy tears. “We will be, little man. If Mama says yes, we’ll all be together. How does that sound?”
River beamed. “It sounds perfect!”
Dua, watching from the doorway, smiled at the sweet exchange. She walked over to Lizze, her expression soft. “Looks like River’s already on board.”
Lizze nodded, wiping away a stray tear. “Yeah. He’s amazing.”
Dua placed a hand on Lizze’s arm. “You’re going to make a wonderful family. I’m so happy for you two.”
Lizze smiled, her heart full. “Thank you, Dua. That means everything.”
As they headed out to make the final preparations for the big day, Lizze couldn’t help but feel the excitement bubbling inside her. The proposal was set, the plans were in place, and with River’s enthusiastic blessing, everything was falling into place. Now all she had to do was make it perfect for Y/N.
