After River and Dua’s arrival, Elizabeth made her way back to the hotel where Y/N was staying. Y/N had just gotten back from a long day of training and was unwinding in her usual way—singing her heart out to a random playlist, completely absorbed in the moment.

As Elizabeth walked into the room, River was by her side, eager to surprise his Mama. They stopped at the entrance, watching Y/N hold the remote like a microphone, oblivious to their presence. River giggled, which quickly turned into a burst of laughter, and Elizabeth couldn't help but join him.

Hearing them, Y/N froze mid-note and turned around, her face lighting up with surprise. But instead of feeling embarrassed, she embraced the moment.

“Oh, you think it’s funny, huh?” Y/N teased, walking over to them. “Well, you’re both joining in!”

She scooped up River, spinning him around as he giggled, then she grinned at Lizze. “How did you get here, little man?” she asked, knowing River was supposed to still be in LA.

Elizabeth smiled, brushing back a strand of her hair. “Surprise! I thought you deserved a little gift. River and I flew in this morning.”

Y/N’s heart swelled with happiness. “Best. Gift. Ever.” She kissed River on the cheek, making him laugh even harder. “Are we spending the whole day together?”

River nodded enthusiastically. “Mama, we’re going to the beach! I wanna build the biggest sandcastle ever!”

“That sounds perfect!” Y/N beamed. “What about you, Lizze? Coming with us?”

Lizze shook her head playfully. “I wish I could, but I have some errands to run. You two should go have fun. Beach day is all yours.”

Y/N narrowed her eyes suspiciously. “Errands, huh? What kind of errands? You’re being mysterious.”

Elizabeth chuckled, trying to wave off the question. “Just some stuff I need to take care of, nothing too exciting. You go enjoy the day with River.”

Despite her curiosity, Y/N chose to ignore it. After all, she couldn’t say no to spending a day at the beach with River. “Alright, alright. But I’ll get the details out of you later.”

Lizze just smiled, kissing Y/N on the cheek before they started getting ready. Y/N, River, Lucky the golden retriever, and Oscar the husky headed to the beach, while Lizze made her way to her secret destination. Little did Y/N know, Lizze was preparing for one of the biggest moments of their lives.

As Y/N and River played in the sand, Lizze was driving to the place where their love story had begun—their old home by the beach, the place they had once shared. It was the house where they’d spent so many happy moments before life got in the way. Y/N thought Lizze had sold it after they separated, but the truth was, Lizze had never been able to let go. She’d held on to the house, hoping that one day, they might find their way back to each other.

When Lizze arrived at the house, she felt a wave of nostalgia and love wash over her. It was still perfect. She had spent months preparing for this moment, decorating the house and the backyard for the proposal. In the sand, she’d written "Will you marry me?" with candles and rose petals surrounding the message. Everything was set.

Y/N’s best friends, Gale and Rachel, were there helping out, along with Lizze’s sisters, Mary-Kate and Ashley. They all gathered in the backyard, admiring the setup.

“This is absolutely beautiful,” Rachel said, adjusting some of the flowers. “Y/N is going to love it.”

“I’m so glad you never sold the house,” Gale added, smiling at Lizze. “This is the perfect place for this.”

Lizze nodded, her heart pounding with anticipation. “Yeah, I just couldn’t bring myself to sell it. Too many memories.”

Mary-Kate put an arm around her sister’s shoulders. “You and Y/N have come so far. It’s incredible to think about everything you’ve been through. This is going to be a day you’ll remember forever.”

Ashley chimed in, “She’s going to say yes. You know that, right?”

Lizze took a deep breath, her nerves bubbling up. “I hope so. I mean, I think she will… We’ve both changed so much. We’ve grown, and we’ve become stronger together. But there’s always that tiny bit of fear, you know?”

Rachel gave her a reassuring smile. “Fear is normal. But trust me, she loves you. She’s not going to say no.”

They finished setting up the last touches, and everything was ready. Now all Lizze had to do was wait for River to do his part and bring Y/N to the house.

Back at the beach, Y/N and River were enjoying their time together, building sandcastles and playing with the dogs. River was so full of energy, running around and laughing as Lucky and Oscar chased him in the sand. Y/N watched him, her heart full. She felt so lucky to have this bond with her son, and she couldn’t wait to share this new chapter of their lives with Lizze.

As they wrapped up their day at the beach, River pulled on Y/N’s hand. “Mama, can we go somewhere special now?”

Y/N raised an eyebrow, curious. “Somewhere special? What do you mean, little man?”

River grinned, clearly trying to keep a secret. “It’s a surprise!”

Y/N laughed. “A surprise, huh? You and Lizze are really keeping me in the dark today.”

River nodded excitedly, his eyes twinkling with excitement. “Come on, Mama, let’s go!”

Y/N, still amused and a little curious, packed up their things and followed River back to the car. They drove to the house where Y/N thought they were just picking something up for Lizze. But as they pulled into the driveway, Y/N’s breath caught in her throat.

“This…this is our old house,” Y/N whispered, stunned.

River grinned, practically bouncing in his seat. “Come on, Mama! There’s more inside!”

As they walked into the house, Y/N’s heart was racing. Memories of their time together flooded back—happy times, difficult times, and everything in between. And then, River led her to the backyard.

The moment Y/N stepped outside, her eyes widened. There in the sand, illuminated by candles, were the words "Will you marry me?"

And standing in the middle of it all was Lizze, smiling nervously but filled with love.

Y/N’s breath hitched, and she felt tears forming in her eyes. She turned to River, who was grinning from ear to ear. “Did you know about this?” she asked, her voice full of emotion.

River nodded, bouncing on his toes. “Lizze told me! She’s gonna be your wife!”

Y/N looked back at Lizze, overwhelmed by the love she felt. Lizze stepped forward, holding out her hand.

“So, what do you say?” Lizze asked softly, her eyes shining. “Will you marry me, Y/N?”

Y/N felt her heart swell with joy. She smiled through her tears, taking Lizze’s hand. “Yes. A thousand times yes.”
