The roses were still sitting in their vase on your vanity, soaking up the sun that filtered through your front window. After you'd accepted Vi's apology, she thanked you and vowed to give you some space to process everything she told you, which you appreciated, but it had been over a week now and you two still hadn't talked since.

Sure, you saw her practically every day at school and at the weekly at The Last Drop, but other than that she'd basically dropped off the map.

"Do you think I need to talk to her first? Has she said anything to you? And don't lie to me this time. Although, it was my idea to  be alone." You say to Caitlyn as you stand behind the bar drying a glass. Obviously you told Caitlyn and Serah all about what had happened between you and Vi, but to be fair, they already knew.

Turns out you were basically the only one that didn't know Vi liked you.

"She hasn't talked to me about it at all." She says honestly, "How long has it been again?"

You sigh, "Over a week! It honestly feels like nothing has changed, it's like she made that huge confession then I went back to avoiding her like before." You frustratedly set the glass in your hands down and reach for another to polish.

"Well..." Caitlyn sips her water, eyebrow raised, "Why are you so concerned about it? She's the one who likes you, not the other way around... right?" She prods at you playfully.

You sigh and roll your eyes, "That's not what I meant. I'm just confused why she hasn't talked to me after that. I only wanted was to maintain distance. And I said I'm a dangerous."

Caitlyn chuckles quietly and shakes her head, "Okay, but that doesn't explain why you're so worked up over it. I thought you said you wanted the space?"

Caitlyn was right. Or at least she would have been five days ago.

At that point, you were glad to have the space. But now, you couldn't help but feel like something more needed to happen between you and Vi. You wouldn't admit it to anyone, but what had happened that day between the two of you had been the most romantic experience of your life. The roses, the confession... you found yourself daydreaming about it all the time.

Daydreaming about Vi all the time.

This was pretty troubling at first considering just a week ago Vi  was your mortal bully like all the rest of the people and your fight or flight kicked in every time she stepped in the room. But now when you closed your eyes you could see the worried crease in her forehead and the earnest look in her eyes as he admitted to liking you, and it gave you butterflies.

What was even more confusing to you was how since then, whenever you saw her, you couldn't help but notice things about her appearance you never saw before. Like the way the muscles in her arms flexed when she reached back to grab her boxing gloves, or how her perfectly straight and narrow nose accentuated his prominent cheekbones. The other day you'd even noticed the smallest freckle on his left cheek.

Obviously you thought Vi was attractive when you first met her, everybody did. It was impossible not to, and she was obviously full of herself for it, but you couldn't blame her.

Not only did she have the looks of a model, but she had the most mysterious air about her, it was like her personality begged you to crack her code. Or at least, you felt that way until she insulted you behind your back within a day of meeting her.

But now, with the knowledge that those insults had been a facade... that she said those things because she thought you were beautiful... you'd begun to see  Cloud with a pair of fresh eyes again.

And you didn't know what the hell to do about it.

Caitlyn and you continued to quietly clean up the bar, humming along to the faint music sounding from the jukebox by the dart board. You surprisingly enjoyed drying and polishing the glasses after they came out of the wash; it was a mindless but satisfying job and it somehow kept your mind quiet, which you needed right now.
