Winter has arrived, and you are out of luck to find witnesses to prove your innocence's. Anakin was just being a snitch and wasting all that effort for accusing you murdering Shinmi, that's just plain wrong. And you being a destroyer? That's not true, didn't he snatch your card and look carefully that it's not evil? He really needs to check his eyes. Palpatine really brainwashed him. It's like he adopted him like his own son. You wonder if Anakin ever know what was his father like? Who knows.
Anyways, you were inside a cafe having a coca. It feels warm in your hands when you heard shuffling and looked to see Vi standing there with a bruise cheek. You swore she's everywhere when you try to give yourself some space.
You furrowed your eyebrows at the injury, and hesitated for a moment. It had been weeks since you last spoke, your cowardice getting in the way of any conversations with her.
Taking in a breath, you asks. "You've been... out street fighting..." you almost immediately regretted that, and when Vi looked over at you in slight confusion, you nodded your head towards her bruise. "You've got a bruise."
Vi was a little startled, thinking you wanted nothing to do with her. She wanted to speak with you for a while. She was getting tired of this hide and seek every time she wanted to have a civil conversation with you. She didn't know why it had to be that way, but she wanted it to change. Glad you made the first move to speak this time, she shrugged slightly and said, "I... got into a fight with Sevika."
"The crazy women hogger?" You asked, not looking up. It wasn't because you were spiteful, it was more because you were fearful of looking into her deep gray eyes and getting trapped there. Furrowing your eyebrows at your thoughts, you shook your head and turned to her, your mind screaming at you to stop.
Vi quietly stuttered a little bit, shaking her head, "It was, uh...something about getting Lightning to make out or whatever or some other sister she would love to grope...." It wasn't exactly a lie, but she left out the fact that Sevika was going to try to hang out with you, that she had to beat her out of it. Her ribs were aching because of it. If you thought the bruise on her cheek way bad, the bruises that littered her stomach and chest would shock the life out of you.
Wanting to change the subject, she suddenly stated, "I heard that you're becoming a Blade Runner."
You shrugged. "Yeah, Niro insisted that I need more combat before I learn to use my sword. Got to study the virus' effect until I know what anti-venom to cure."
"Yeah, but if one person did it once, what's stopping a Dark Sider from doing the exact same thing, only worse?" Vi claimed, making you raise an eyebrow. Vi was there with you during the duel tournament.
Vi hated the fact that she had a huge role to play of fighting the Dark Sith, and Anakin's fall into insanity. She wanted to keep you away from people like that. And Shimmer was full of them.
You glared at her. "Just because one idiot join the Dark Side to create a big ass Empire, doesn't mean every one of those losers would be stupid enough to fall for their fake promises so they could reshape the world entirely..." you snapped back at her, and she paused at the tone you gave her. It was harsh, rigid, and with an increase in your anger. She could tell a nerve had been struck accidentally, which was the last thing she wanted. "I thought you were an expert at seeing evil."
"I'm not saying that," Vi responded calmly, trying to keep the anger low between you. "Look, (Y/n)," your breath caught in your throat when she called you by your first name, and you almost choked on air. She never called you by your first name. Your relationship was surname based only. "I just don't want you going in there and accidentally finding something you're not supposed to."
