The holidays were finally done and over with.
And, of course, that meant after holiday shopping, right?
Well, this time, the shopping was something forced upon you unwillingly. Your friend Lightning's birthday is coming and you needed a new pair of high thigh boots or something, you really didn't have it in you to listen as she demanded new items for her already stuffed wardrobe.
You then feel your phone vibrate from your deck holder as you answer the phone.
"Hello?"
"Morning, Mooncake!"
You groaned by her pet names. Even though your blind you could imagine how happy she is. She reminds you of a cute puppy wagging it's tail to answer the phone. Imagine a dog answering the phone, that would be hilarious to see and a good portrait to sell.
"Ah, Violet. What's up? Here to ask me to bring something to you and Jinx?" You tap your cane to hear what kind of item you are browsing into.
VI: "Uh, no. Though with Powder, she's asking for a bunch of donuts and cookies, but anyways, I just wanna know if you are home."
"No, I'm shopping at the mall for Lightning's birthday. She never really ask for anything except for weaponry or just new combat clothes."
VI: "Wait, are you shopping alone?"
"Well yeah, the boys are snoring pigs, Serah wants to hang out to the spa with Jinx and me."
VI: "That's dangerous. You have no idea what kind of thugs would kidnap blind girls on the street." She then has a studied look in her face. "Where are you anyway?"
"At the mall, I'm browsing for fashion stuff and boots. I was wondering if Light would love a new set of clothes."
You can hear her sigh from the phone.
VI: "Don't go anywhere, I'm picking you up. I had no idea how you got there so quick."
"I just use my scooter."
Vi: "Figures. I'll see you soon."
She hung up as you put away your phone.
You huff as you enter a clothing store, intent on doing some after holiday shopping for yourself before anyone else.
'Maybe a dress or some new shoes bought with my hard-earned money might calm my nerves. It's not like I could've been playing the game I just got myself yesterday. '
The negative thoughts at that point wouldn't stop, even as you browsed the wide array of shoes presented to you on the shelves.
'I really didn't wanna be paying it! Even though I saved up for months before it even came out! Thanks-a-lot, Light! My friends are probably already leveling up and gaining experience... I'm gonna fall behind in the ranks! Damn, damn, damn!'
You let out an audible groan, grabbing the attention of a lady standing by you, her legs peeping from the slit in her white dress, the limbs almost as tall as yourself. In her hands were at least 10 shopping bags from other stores.
She cleared her throat, bringing your attention to her face, looking straight at you.
"Who's there?" You turn to the person, though you couldn't make out the face.
She had a mole near the bottom of her left cheek, with steel gray eyes framed with black glasses. Her head was covered by a white hat with an awfully large brim, nearly covering her face. For what you couldn't make out, however, she has really long jet black hair curls, styled almost like a girly high scholar.
