Alex's fingers wrap around my hand, his touch firm yet tender, as he guides me into the bathroom. Once inside, he pulls me closer with a sudden tug, his lips finding mine in a brief, teasing kiss. Heat rushes to my cheeks, a bright crimson spreading across them as his gaze sweeps over my naked body.

We wait in silence together for the shower to warm, and Alex watches me carefully, his expression suddenly changing. With a serious look he takes my hand in his, tracing a gentle circle on top of it. His eyes flicker to sight of the charm bracelet I never removed, and quick smile tugs his lips before flattening out.

"When you bumped into me in your hallway—you said somebody was watching you?" Alex's face scrunches slightly, and his eyes bare into me, waiting for an explanation.

"Um—well, yes thats true, somebody is watching me." I whisper, glancing up at him.

"How do you know? Not that I don't believe you...just curious how you figured it out."

"Well—I saw this car parked out front of my apartment complex a couple times, and then when I was at the coffee shop today a random person texted me through one of my socials." I pause and awkwardly glance away, "Honestly I thought it was you until I slammed into you today."

Alex's brows pinch together and he clutches my hand slightly harder in his, "Why didn't you tell me about the car? I would have never left you alone if I knew that."

"Well—the first time I saw the car I didn't think much of it, and the second time was before the coffee shop today."

Alex sighs, "I can't leave you alone here with somebody watching you...What if—they want to hurt you?"

I laugh quietly, "Really? You think some omega is worth the energy of hunting down?"

Anger washes over his face before softening, "Of course! There are disgusting people in the world that will go out of their way to hurt anybody."

Alex takes my other hand in his and I stare into his hardened eyes, "Please don't stay here alone."

"Why?" I ask, dumbfounded.

"Because Jasper—if something happened to you..." He takes a deep breath, "I'm not sure what I'd do."

I take my hands away from his and place them on the sides of his face, "Well where am I going to go? This is my home."

He looks to the floor before ripping his gaze back to my face, "You could move into the apartment."

I sigh and place my hands onto my hips, "Well it isn't that easy for me Alex, do you know how hard I worked to be able to live here?"

"I know, I know, and I'm sorry for suggesting that you need to move, but what if this person—they do something to you?"

"Well if they are stalking me is it going to matter where I go alone? They literally showed up at the coffee shop I went to."

Alex's jaw clenches and he huffs in disappointment, "I guess you aren't wrong."

I tenderly place a cupped palm on his cheek, and his attention focuses back on me.

"I'll be okay Alex...really."

I pull his face toward mine, our lips meeting in a reassuring kiss before I step past him and slip into the shower. Alex follows close behind, joining me at the other side of the tub, his body just inches from mine. We wash ourselves quickly, the heat and steam mingling around us, before stepping out to dry off.

We walk back into my bedroom and I hustle over my dresser, the cold air sending a shiver through my body. I take a loose fit, long sleeved t-shirt and pull it over my head, my hands going with ease into each sleeve. I search my drawers—finally retrieving a clean pair of boxers, before tossing on some red and black checkered pajama pants. I look back at Alex, who retrieves his clothes from the floor, putting them back on. I feel bad, but I'm not sure he'd be comfortable in any of mine.
