JASPER'S POV

I didn't realize it, but Alex had gone through all our clothes, and organized them in the closet at some point. Most of my clothes in comparison to his look like they came straight out of the thrift store, which honestly...most have.

Alex's clothes on the other hand are all crisp, clean, no tears—unless intentionally put there. No fading, hanging pieces of thread, they could all be brand new if it wasn't for the lack of tags on most of them.

I'm startled as Alex's arms wrap around me from behind, pulling my back flush against the front side of his body. But I immediately melt into his comforting warmth, my head leaning back slightly.

"I'm not sure what to wear." I say simply, looking at my lacking amount of clothes in comparison to Alex's—that fills more than half the closet.

"Anything you want, there isn't a dress code Jas," he chuckles softly into my ear, and I place my hands on top of his arm.

"What are you going to wear?"

"Probably just a sweater, some jeans, and my jacket," Alex replies, and I can feel him shrug his shoulders behind me.

"Fair enough, I guess I'll just wear something similar."

And with that we both move inside the closet. I decide to go for a grey hoodie and a band tee below it, being that I don't own many formal-ish sweaters. Then some light washed jeans.

When I turn to Alex my jaw slightly drops at his appearance. Although to him it's nothing more than casual wear, to me he looks absolutely fucking mesmerizing. He's wearing a deep green, cable knit sweater that cuffs upwards at the neck. A crisp white tee makes an appearance at the slight v-cut that droops down, and to complete the "simple" look, are some dark denim jeans, hugging perfectly against his lower half in all the right ways.

"Wow—you look, just wow." I kind of whisper, and Alex smirks at me a bit, before taking a step toward myself, placing a quick peck on my cheek.

"Thanks, baby." He replies, and my cheeks tinge with a bit of red at his words.

"So—w-where are we going?" I accidentally stutter out, feeling this handsome man's hands begin to roam all over me as he pulls me close to him.

"I told you it's a surprise." He glances down at his watch. "But we should get going, we're almost late."

I nervously fiddle my fingers together as I sit in the passenger seat of Alex's car, unsure of what to expect as we drive deeper into the city. My eyes can't help but continuously steal glances at my boyfriend, he just looks... so fucking good.

Alex's eyes flicker over to me, and I flush a bit, due to the fact I had already been staring at him. A small smile curves on his lips, and he takes one of my fidgeting hands into his, holding it in his lap.

My jaw drops open slightly as we approach a building—no mansion, I never dreamed of going to on my lonesome, let alone with Alex.

"Is—this where we are—"

"Yes," Alex interjects in a light tone, gripping my hand in his.

We are now pulling up to the sidewalk in front of The Richard H. Driehaus Museum, known for its historical art collection geared towards the Gilded Age, as well as beautiful antiques and sculptures. I hadn't realized Alex remembered just as much as he did about me, and I can already feel my damn heart swell as he pulls into the parking area.
