Sorry for late update

I was sitting at the breakfast table, my mind buzzing with excitement. Today was finally the day—I was going to college! I had always dreamed of this, of living my life on my terms, pursuing my studies, and chasing my dreams. And now, it was all happening.
But there was more to be happy about. Over the past few weeks, I had found not just a home, but also a family. Ayaansh and Riya had become like my own brother and sister, constantly teasing and laughing, making this once intimidating household feel warm and lively.
Still, amidst all the joy, my thoughts kept drifting back to last night. Khadoos had kissed me. It wasn't just any kiss—it was a tender, protective gesture, something I never imagined him capable of. That kiss on my forehead felt like a spark, something that had ignited a strange warmth inside me. Who knew the cold, ruthless man had this side to him? I smiled absentmindedly, replaying the moment in my head.
Just as I was lost in my thoughts, I felt a sudden splash of cold water hit my face. I gasped in shock and wiped my face, my eyes darting around to find the culprit. Ayaansh was sitting across the table, laughing uncontrollably, his hand still clutching his water bottle. Riya was giggling too, her eyes twinkling with mischief.
"Ayaansh ke bacche!" (You little brat, Ayaansh!) I yelled, standing up and glaring at him. He knew he had messed with the wrong person now.
"Oh no, she's gonna kill me!" Ayaansh laughed, standing up and trying to back away.
"Oh, you're dead!" I warned, grabbing my own glass of water. Without another word, I threw it at him, but he dodged it just in time.
"That's all you got, Meera?" Ayaansh taunted, still laughing, while Riya giggled beside him, clearly enjoying the show.
Before I could reply, I grabbed another glass, splashing water everywhere, determined to get my revenge. Ayaansh shrieked dramatically, ducking behind a chair.
"Oh, now you're asking for it!" I muttered, charging toward him with the water jug in my hand. Ayaansh dodged again, knocking over a chair in his haste.
Riya, still laughing, tried to escape the crossfire, but I wasn't going to let her off the hook that easily. I splashed water in her direction too, soaking her sleeves.
"Mujhe kyu toda tum dono ki ladai mein! I was just watching!" (Why did you drag me into your fight? I was just watching!) she squealed, running around the kitchen to escape us.
I laughed, the chaos getting the best of me. It turned into a full-blown water fight. Ayaansh was hiding behind the dining table, and I was chasing after him, determined to soak him properly. Riya, who had tried to escape, was now also involved, laughing as she grabbed a water bottle and joined in.
Water splashed everywhere, chairs toppled over, and the kitchen was a complete mess. Ayaansh was running, laughing his head off while I was right behind him, a jug of water in my hands.
"Come here, Ayaansh!" I yelled, laughing as I sprinted after him. I was so focused on dousing him with water that I didn't even notice Arjun walking into the room.
Just as Ayaansh ducked behind a chair, I threw the water, thinking I'd finally get him. But he moved at the last second, and instead of hitting Ayaansh, the water splashed right onto Arjun.
I froze in horror. The room went completely silent. The air felt heavy. I slowly turned to look at Khadoos. He stood there, drenched, his usually perfectly groomed hair now dripping with water. His expression was unreadable, but the fire in his eyes was unmistakable.
