Chapter Forty-Two. "The Strength Of A Padawan. The Will Of A Knight."

--------

What has always been your objective?

Well, at first, it was to kill the person who killed your mother. Maul. Of course back then you didn't know who exactly killed her, just that a Zabrak did it. But you never did.

Because you could remember a friendly hand being placed at your shoulder and telling you. "It's not worth it y/n, because you are now a Jedi, if you really want to progress as a person. Don't return for vengeance, instead, fight to make sure no one suffers what you suffered."

And so you did that. You trained, you fought, you became a Padawan. Or at least, when the war started, you had a new objective as a Jedi, bring order to the Galaxy once again. Peace, at least. End the war, alone that seems ridiculous, but of course, you have an army on your side, an master. Clones helping you on the right and the left.

But your second objective has always been becoming a Jedi Master, perhaps the highest of all honors, to train a Padawan and then become a Jedi Master. "No bigger honor." you would always repeat to yourself when you trained. And it has been years and years ever since you became a Padawan and your dreams of becoming a knight increased.

At first it seemed like a selfish thought. Ambition, it pulled you towards becoming someone stronger than you were before, a Padawan after a Youngling, and now you're the closest possible to becoming a knight.

But ambition can be a selfish thing if you can't control it. And selfishness, is how a Sith thinks.

So, when the war started. You forgot about becoming a Knight, sure, the thought still lingered in your head. But your current thought was to help everyone in need. And soon enough, your thoughts of becoming a Knight became more distant, and now without realizing it, you were closer to becoming a Knight than you ever thought.

But don't rush your emotions, don't rush your memory, think of all you've done before that. Think of how many people still doubt you, can you still believe that the Jedi could possibly name you a Knight?  They'd probably name Ahsoka one before you, and with reason. You aren't  the one who has a clone of themselves but younger and who made a drug.

Or...broke a lot of the rules in various missions. But, that's a thing for another day. People were saved, missions were saved, so it was needed. But you guess you could call becoming a Knight now, "Your Dream" rather than a objective. Sure, your dream and objective are practically the same, but one comes from your mind and the other from your heart.

That's what distinguishes them. And right now? You're rooting for the latter. And for what your situation seems to heading to...You're doing pretty fine.

Does the sun ever come out on Florrum, or is it only you that feel like it's always evening or night? Morning came after you and the Younglings ran away, the sun is rising. Making the planet's sky look a mush green with some yellow, or that's at least what you can make out of it. It's a cloudy that too, so you can't see that much, then again. It seems this place is always cloudy or too sunny. No in-between.

The hum of the engines of the speeder you're all in. You lay seated in top of it, looking at your surroundings as the rest of you race towards the Jedi cruiser. Until the sound of an blaster being fired and another engine get your attention, pirates. They don't look so happy you've all tricked them and escaped. "'Soka! We have company!" You inform Ahsoka, who's driving the speeder as you ignite your lightsaber, the (color) hue lighting up your spot as you deflect the blasters with precision. Immediately changing your form into Soresu.
