S'tra Chapter 0-2

Type:Filler
Status:Canon
In which, Barriss meets Yino by accident.

For reference, this occurs sometime after y/n is believed to be killed by Maul.

-----

Despite how enormous Coruscant was, even when the sun was above, it seemed to barely shine on the lower levels of the metropolis. In which Barriss walked. Looking around the stores and people, she needed a walk urgently. She still did not believe that y/n was dead. One of her best friends, one of the few people that understood her struggle to be the best was gone. She refused to believe.

She knew that the Jedi should not be that attached to someone, because the more attached you are, the more it hurts when it's gone. But easier said than done. Y/n and Barriss had been friends since they met on the temple, perhaps even before Ahsoka. She understood his struggle for revenge and he understood her struggle to be the best. It was a mutual feeling that they had. She never knew if there could be something more. Not that'd she try to...she didn't want to break the Jedi Code and risk most of her life work.

Despite the crowd of people, there was one person that got Barriss attention, their (h/c) hair bouncing slightly with each step, back turned to her as they walked with no seeming direction. She had a strange feeling, everyone in the world could perhaps have (h/c) hair but this person...it reminded her of a few years ago.

Their choice of clothing seemed to not stand out for someone on the lower levels of Coruscant. A dark colored pair of baggy trousers with wide pockets and a long sleeved shirt that seemed to match that color, gloves, and some combat boots. That's when Barriss thought he didn't look nothing like the boy she had remembered, his hair reached his nape, but it still retained that same color that she once saw on her friend. An turn to the left allowed Barriss to see the boy's left eye, it was sharp, with that color that used to define y/n's eyes. But it didn't have that same spark. If anything, it looked like he would spit on someone's eye if they spoke to him.

But Barriss was intrigued, was this the clone y/n had that was explained by the Council?

If she had to be honest, she found it a little wrong to not tell y/n that the Council had a talk behind his back about his clone and the fact that they didn't trust him now as much as they used to. And the fact that now he was gone made her even felt more bad, even if she wasn't part of the council. It still seemed wrong.

Barriss knew that she shouldn't let her curiosity get the better of her, but if this was y/n's clone. Then this might be the last thing about him that was left, and honestly? Barriss wanted to know how the clone looked, if it was really younger than y/n. Cautiously, she took a few steps towards the left turn the (h/c) boy had taken.

The more she walked and slightly followed him, the less of a crowd there was, which means there was a higher chance to be discovered by the other boy. But she took her chances, she knew how the Coruscant streets were. And eventually, the boy stopped walking at some point, it seemed he noticed her. "You know i can hear you, right?" He spoke, and she stopped for a moment, she had been around the corner of a box. Trying not to get noticed just to check the boy a little more. To see if that was the person she thought it was.

"Come on out." The boy spoke, his hands still on his pockets, but she couldn't lower her guard entirely. She didn't know if he was friendly at all. After all, he did steal y/n's lightsaber..and killed some guards..and his own father as far as she knows. He might actually be terrible. She takes a step out of her hiding spot. "I'm not gonna hurt you." She says softly, trying to come out with the best intentions. "Hm-mh." the boy slowly turned around, revealing his (e/c) eyes, sharp, calculating, cold. The opposite of y/n.
