***Amaya's POV***
"Hey, Ama. We're getting close. I recognize this place from the last time I was here. You should hide the plane before it attracts attention." Ace warns.
Doing as he suggested, I cloaked the plane along with the two of us in an allusion. We were now but a cloud in the wind to anyone who glanced our way.
We'd left the Sunny earlier that evening, saying a quick farewell to the Straw Hats. After all, we were going to meet up with them again very soon. It was time to initiate our battle against Kaido, but in order to do that, we had to go to Wano.
After Zoro and I talked for a while, I left with Ace. We did make one stop along the way at the nearby island for food at Ace's request. I thought that he was hungry before he only loaded the food on the plane. I was surprised to see that he didn't even take a bite. He's usually another empty pit like Lu when it comes to eating.
When I asked, he simply gave a sad smile and said that 'I'll understand why later'. It was unlike him to be so mysterious, but I relented despite the strong curiosity lingering in my mind. Now that I think about it, he's been rather solemn on this trip.
We continued to fly closer to the island of Wano, which was now in view. Well, part of it was. There was a large waterfall that stole my attention, leading high up before land appeared at the top.
"Woah," I comment, watching the scene. "I wish Chi could see this."
Ace gave a chuckle behind me. "I know right. I was the same way the first time I saw this place." He paused as his body made him take a quick nap, causing a smile to come to my face.
After a couple of seconds, he snapped out of his slumber. "I'm sure Chi will get the chance when she shows up with the others. Why didn't she come with us? She's usually stuck to you like glue."
I think back to my earlier conversation with the cloudfox before leaving the ship. "Let's just say, she's trying to prove a point." I sigh. "She's stubborn when she thinks she knows something."
I heard Ace hum in acknowledgement as the plane was starting to climb into the sky next to the waterfall. "Does she?" He questioned.
"Any suggestions on where to park?" I call over my shoulder, ignoring his question. "Preferably somewhere away from people."
He sighed, then thought a moment before answering. "There should be a large beach area with trees nearby. That's probably the best option you're going to get."
I gave a quick nod as the plane flew over the crest of the waterfall. Scanning the terrain ahead, I search for the beach before locating it off to the side. Redirecting the trajectory of the plane, I steered us towards the sand filled surroundings.
Seeing a clearing within the treeline near the sand's edge, I landed the plane in the small area. It was just large enough to accommodate the plane, but I won't be able to take off quickly in the future with all the underbrush.
We hopped out of the plane before I recloaked it in a tree allusion to match the forest.
"Well we made it, so what's the plan, Ama?" Ace asks, slinging his arm around my shoulder once we disembarked.
I raise an eyebrow in question as I turned my head to him.
He just grins back. "Don't give me that look. You usually have some master plan in the works, so whatcha got?"
I glanced away with an inaudible sigh. He's right. "First, we'll need to blend in. We need better outfits. You've been here before right, so tell me everything you can remember about their style. I'll use an allusion to cover us until we find Kimemon. He'll be able to get us some real clothes to use."
