***Amaya's POV***
Once we cleared the city, we were in a vast wasteland. There was nothing but dry ground, large rocks, and an occasional animal skeleton.
"This is even worse than Albasta." I grimaced, letting go of Zoro's hand in the process.
He didn't comment one way or another as we started deeper into the terrain. Eventually, the wildlife became more abundant. There was some sort of boar looking creature that was getting chased by a tiger alongside a strange colored river.
However, a turn of events occurred making both the tiger and boar run for their lives from another creature. It looked between an alligator and a shark, and it was twice the size of the tiger.
"This place is great!" Zoro commented. "I can eat as much meat and fish as I want!" He smiled as I rolled my eyes at his simple headedness. "If I could just get sake, it'd be perfect." He trailed off.
I lightly huffed. Naturally.
Oi! Tama! Are you okay? Lu's worried voice caught my attention with the rumble. Ouch!
I think her fever's getting worse. I heard Ace state.
She's got a fever?! What have those two done with the kid to get her sick? I couldn't leave them for a minute!
Hang on! I'll get a doctor for you soon! Lu declared as large stomps were made in the direction they were coming from.
You might be heading for a doctor, but the doctor's gonna get you first.
"Zoro, we gotta-"
"AHHHHHH!" A female scream stole our attention. "Please forgive me!"
A tall lady wearing a kimono was running away from two men riding some type of repitalian animals.
Judging from the outfits that the two men wore, they were clearly Kaido's subordinates.
"Wait, woman!" One of the men yelled at her, but she didn't even hesitate to keep running.
"Leave everything you're carrying!" The other commanded.
"Help! Somebody!"
I looked over to the man standing next to me, who looked at me as well. "So? Go take care of them?"
"Eh? Why don't you?" Zoro looked at me confused.
"Don't wanna. They're small fries." I stated.
"And I do!? You'd handle it much quicker anyways. Go ahead." He refuted.
Lifting my hand over my eyes to block the sun, I looked more carefully at the men. "Is that sake I see?"
"Leave it to me." Zoro stated, drawing out his swords before dashing over to the group.
I smiled, smugly, clapping my hands together. "Works every time." Heading in the direction of the chaos, I watched on as Zoro sliced through his opponents.
Once they were grounded and the beasts knocked out, Zoro was already plundering their sake before guzzling it down. Nearly half the contents of the sake gourd he found ended up on the ground with how messily he was drinking.
Having seen enough, I switched my gaze over to the confused looking lady. Her expression read 'I want to thank the person who helped, but what on earth is he doing?'. Nonetheless, she snapped out of her thoughts, giving a polite bow towards Zoro.
"Samurai-sama, I don't know who you are, but thank you for saving my life."
Zoro emptied the bottle as I stood next to him, letting out a satisfied noise. "Oh, don't mention it." He responded happily. "I just wanted their sake."
