"Hello, my lady." Thor smiled and winked, taking your hand to kiss it gently. "The name is Thor Odinson, God of Thunder."
You felt your cheeks flush at the warm, charming demeanor of the Asgardian prince. "Thor Odinson? You're Asgardian?"
"Why yes," he replied, his voice deep and playful. "If you want, I can show you around sometime." He smirked down at you, and for a moment, you were lost in his bright blue eyes.
"That would be lovely," you said, matching his smirk with one of your own. The atmosphere was electric, filled with playful tension, until a sudden shadow loomed behind you.
"What are you doing here talking to her?" Loki strode over, his expression dark as he scowled at his brother.
"Whoa, Loki! I didn't know I was off-limits," you rolled your eyes, irritation bubbling just beneath the surface. The brothers had a complicated relationship, and you were caught in the middle.
"You aren't 'off-limits,'" he said sharply, directing his gaze at you before returning to Thor, "however, it doesn't give you the right to charm her whenever you please."
Thor raised an eyebrow, clearly unfazed. "I was merely being polite, brother. Is that a crime?"
"Polite?" Loki scoffed, his emerald eyes narrowing. "It's more like an attempt to woo her. You always have to be the charming prince, don't you?"
You shifted uncomfortably, unsure of whether to laugh or defuse the situation. "Loki, it's really not a big deal—"
"Not a big deal?" Loki interrupted, taking a step closer to you, his protective instincts flaring. "You don't see it, do you? You have no idea how many hearts he's broken."
"Loki..." you said softly, placing a hand on his arm. "I appreciate you looking out for me, but I can handle myself. Thor is just being friendly."
"Friendly?" Loki's voice rose, frustration etched into his features. "He's charming you, Y/N! He's just like all the other mortals who think they can—"
"Loki!" You interrupted, your patience wearing thin. "I'm not a fragile flower who needs protecting. Thor is nice, and I can choose who I talk to."
Thor watched the exchange with an amused smirk, clearly entertained by the spectacle unfolding before him. "I didn't mean to cause any trouble. Just offering to show your lovely friend around. No need to get all brotherly on me."
"Stay out of this, Thor," Loki snapped, his gaze fierce. "This is between Y/N and me."
You could see the tension in Loki's posture; it was as if he was torn between being protective and wanting to let you make your own choices. "Why are you being so...protective?" you asked, your voice steady yet gentle.
Loki hesitated, the fire in his eyes softening as he regarded you. "Because...you matter to me, Y/N," he admitted, his tone quieter, almost vulnerable. "I don't want you to get hurt by someone who's only playing with your affections."
Your heart fluttered at his confession, and the air around you felt charged with emotion. "Loki, I'm not a child. I can take care of myself. Besides," you glanced back at Thor, who was observing the exchange with genuine curiosity, "it's just a friendly offer. You don't have to worry."
"Maybe it's not just friendly for him," Loki said, crossing his arms, his expression a mixture of annoyance and concern. "He's always been the charming one, and I've always been...well, the other one."
"Loki," you said softly, stepping closer to him, "you don't have to compete with Thor. You're not 'the other one' to me. You have your own charm, and it's something I genuinely admire."
Loki's eyes flickered with surprise, and for a moment, you could see the conflict within him. "You mean that?" he asked, his voice low.
"Of course I do," you assured him. "You don't need to act this way. I'm here because I want to be around you."
Thor, sensing the shift in the air, decided to give you some space. "I'll leave you two to sort this out. It seems I've interrupted something rather interesting," he said with a grin. "But Y/N, if you change your mind, you know where to find me."
As Thor walked away, you turned back to Loki, who was still processing your words. "Look," you said, placing a hand on his shoulder, "I appreciate that you care, but I can handle my own decisions. You don't have to be jealous."
Loki sighed, the tension in his shoulders easing. "I suppose I was being a bit overdramatic, wasn't I?" His lips curled into a small smile, and you felt your heart lift.
"A little," you teased, feeling lighter now that the weight of the moment had passed. "But it's sweet that you care. Just know that I choose to be with you. No one else."
His gaze softened, and he took your hand, intertwining his fingers with yours. "Then let's enjoy this moment together, shall we?"
