Tony:

Tony was lounging in one of his private beach cabanas, casually sipping a drink and reveling in the sun. It was rare for him to take a full day off, but he'd finally decided to give in and join the team for some R&R. He glanced over the rims of his sunglasses at the others enjoying themselves, feeling more relaxed than he'd admit.

Then, he spotted you emerging from behind the changing rooms, stepping into the sand in a sleek, black bikini that looked like it had been made for you. The color complemented your skin perfectly, and Tony's gaze didn't waver as you approached him, oblivious to his stare.

"Well, well, well," Tony said, a smirk playing at his lips as he lowered his sunglasses. "I didn't realize the beach had a new star attraction."

You rolled your eyes, though a smile tugged at your lips. "Very funny, Stark. You look like you could use a swim," you teased, nodding toward the water. "Or are you too busy lounging?"

"Please, I'm just pacing myself," he replied, trying to keep his tone light even as his gaze lingered. Then, with a grin, he tossed his towel aside and stood up. "But if you're challenging me, I accept. I'm not going to let you have all the fun without me."

Together, you walked toward the water, but as soon as you dipped your toes into the surf, Tony instinctively took your hand. "Careful. Waves are rough out here," he said, his tone softer, suddenly serious.

"Oh, are you playing lifeguard now?" you teased, though you didn't pull your hand away.

"Absolutely. Can't have my favorite teammate slipping on my watch," he replied, his voice tinged with sincerity that took you by surprise. He met your eyes, his usual playful demeanor replaced by something warmer. You could tell by the way he looked at you that he meant it—he'd always have your back.

Without breaking his gaze, he squeezed your hand a little tighter. "You look incredible, by the way," he added, pride evident in his voice. The intensity in his gaze left no doubt that he was happy to protect you, his usual confidence softened by a genuine appreciation that he rarely let show.

Steve:

Steve stood on the sand, scanning the beach with his usual watchful demeanor. Even on a day off, his instinct to protect was unshakable. But then he saw you walking toward him, wearing a bright blue bikini that perfectly matched the color of the ocean—and he felt his protective instincts shift.

You were smiling as you approached, giving him a wave, and he could feel his pulse quicken as he took you in. Steve had always admired you, but seeing you like this left him momentarily speechless.

"Steve! Are you just going to stand there, or are you going to join me?" you teased, nudging him out of his reverie.

Clearing his throat, he smiled, feeling his face warm slightly. "Yeah, I'll be right there." He quickly closed the distance between you and the shoreline, his gaze softening as he took your hand.

"Just making sure you're safe," he explained quietly, his hand lingering around yours as he looked around, almost as if he expected something to happen.

You chuckled. "Relax, Cap. It's just a beach day."

He met your eyes, his grip still gentle but firm. "Maybe, but you're still my responsibility," he replied, his tone serious.

You noticed the pride in his gaze, and your heart softened at the way he looked at you. "Thank you, Steve," you murmured, squeezing his hand.

Steve's smile widened as he looked out over the water. "Always, Y/N. I'm right here." And with that, he kept close, pride and protectiveness radiating from him as he silently vowed to be there whenever you needed him, even on the simplest of days.
