Sophie's POV
Standing on the stage, holding my diploma in my hands, I felt a sense of accomplishment that I hadn't felt in a long time. This was the beginning of something new—something better. College was waiting for me, a chance to start over, to figure out who I was outside of everything that had happened.
I glanced around at the crowd, seeing my parents, Ella, and Caleb cheering for me. I should have felt completely content, but part of me couldn't shake the feeling that someone else was out there, watching.
For a brief moment, I thought I saw a figure in the distance, just beyond the crowd. My heart skipped a beat, but when I blinked, the figure was gone.
It didn't matter. Ryan was part of my past now, and I had a future to look forward to.
