Whether it was fortunate or not, the next area I arrived at was merely an empty, plains of sand. There were no monsters anywhere around me, no bizarre hole or cave where monsters could be, and there were no system windows that appeared no matter how long I circled around the area randomly.
In the end, I decided to take a slight rest to wait for my HP to recover to full as I moved around the place, paying attention to anything that might conceal something within.
{Honestly, I did not expect you to pick that kind of item}
"...why?" I stopped as I began talking with TIZ who had been silent for a while. "I don't think it's anything weird, right?"
As I answered her question, I opened my Inventory and looked at the description of the Item I had picked earlier
[Lucky Horseshoe]
[Within Chekat's Trial, drop rate and number of items are multiplied by three]
[Hell Difficulty Adjustment: the multiplier is reduced to two]
{...I did not expect you to be the type to leave your fate to chance instead of trying to fight and get what you want}
I could definitely argue that the higher drop chance and doubling the item drops were something that had surpassed my expectation, but I would not be able to see that until later in the future. After all, both the items and EXP would only be awarded when the Dungeon was cleared.
Still, that meant I should really finish this Dungeon without failing, or else taking this Item would be nothing but stupidity.
{Though, I guess I should give you credit for not picking the second option}
"...why do you say that?"
Considering that it was actually my second option, I became curious about what TIZ thought about it.
{Well, this place is [Chekat's Trial] Dungeon, and Chekat should be at least a Wizard}
{I do not think someone like him would try and teach his soon to be disciple to be reliant on only a select few Elements}
{Which means there is a possibility that there will be a monster that will be resistant or even immune to three Elements}
"......you know, that sounds a lot like foreshadowing."
{What?}
Seeing that my HP had finally recovered to full, I began moving to the next area, prompting yet another distortion in my surroundings.
But before the scenery stabilized, system windows suddenly appeared in front of me.
[You may choose your next Area]
[Reward Area : A Treasure Chest is somewhere within the area]
[Monster Area : You will fight some monsters]
[Elite Area : You will fight a few yet stronger monsters]
[Random Area: The content of the area will be randomized. The reward depends on the type of the area]
[Your choice will affect the subsequent Areas]
"...hooo..."
Surprisingly, I was given the right to choose what my next area would be. Although this kind of development was not something new in my experience from the games I had played, I didn't think this was something I had read in the guide before.
