Samuel POV:

Tonight is Abby's high school reunion party. He's insisted on the two— hour drive, even though she insists he doesn't need to come. He doesn't want her to go, and makes that clear, commenting on her high school.

She joined him, standing next to him, much to his delight.

— Do you really want to come?" she asked him.

— Yes, I do! I want to get to know you.

She smiled at him, lighting up her world.

— I'd love you to come. I didn't think you'd want to.

— Of course I want to! You've seen and welcomed my world. Your school is your old world, now it's my turn! You can boast about your career, your perfectly successful life. That's honestly the point of these parties.

— Yes, hidden under a lot of hypocrisy. If.... anyone asks about where you went, what do you answer?" she said, taking his hand.

— King's College. He replied, repeating his cover story from Hogwarts, from his Muggle past.

— Wimbledon, obviously. Very well, then, Mr Big School," she smiled, before kissing him, making him melt as with each of her kisses.

On the way home, he thought of Hogwarts, majestic and here, ... this isn't Hogwarts, and then he imagined Abby walking its walls. His rightful presence here was ascertained, and he was noted as a guest, to his surprise, almost vexed. She laughed, before recalling the purpose a little further:

— Bragging about yourself and typical reaction to your private upbringing!

The room was small, far from the great hall, reminding her of their two very different worlds.

— Greengrass? Samuel Greengrass," said a familiar male voice behind them in surprise.

He recognised Arthur Walter from Hogwarts, Ravenclaw, a year younger. He came towards them, tense and without understanding why he was there.

— Abby, this is Arthur Walter from my school.

She looked at him, silently asking if he meant Hogwarts.

— Hogwarts," he whispered the last word, to clarify Abby and her classmate.

Arthur tensed.

— Pleased to meet you, I teach English here. It's a surprise to see you here, Samuel. He replied unnaturally.

— I spoke up. Abby knows all about school and you know what.

— Arthur relaxed. Abby spoke up. It's a pleasure to meet you. Is Mr Thomas is still teaching here?

— He retired a year ago.

— Oh. I'll leave you with your friend. I'll be off. Goodbye, Mr Walter. Abby has disappeared.

— So, you're a secondary school teacher now, are you? he began, leaving Abby a little reluctant.

— Yes, I am. I married Maddy and she's a teacher too. That crush turned out well, he said. And you're in a relationship with Abby ?

— Yes! I'm with Abby, completely and back with the magical world.

They continued talking, then he went to join Abby, who was having a drink.

— So, you reconnected well with Arthur?

— Yes, and you?

— I was fine.
