***"Fine... I'll work with Kagome. But only because we have to. Let's just get those jewel shards and be done with it." InuYasha said.
Kagome sighed inwardly, not thrilled about having to work alongside Inuyasha. Her inner thoughts played out as she nodded along.
"Great, just great. Stuck working with him... This is going to be a long and frustrating journey." Kagome spoke in thought.
Kaede looked at them both sternly, sensing their reluctance but knowing they needed to be united in their efforts.
"Before you go, I need to make sure that you both understand the gravity of this situation. The fate of this era depends on you recovering every last piece of the Shikon Jewel Shards. You must work together, trust each other, and make sacrifices if necessary. Can I count on that?" Kaede says.
Inuyasha's expression hardened, his stubbornness giving way slightly.
"Yeah, yeah, I get it. We have to work together. I'll set aside my differences and focus on the mission. And if that means working with Kagome, then so be it." InuYasha says.
Kagome shot Inuyasha a mildly annoyed glance, but she nodded in agreement. She knew they had no choice.
"I understand too, Kaede. We may not see eye-to-eye on everything, but we will do whatever it takes to reunify the shards. The villagers and the realm are depending on us, and I won't let them down." Kagome said.
Kaede seemed satisfied with their determination and nodded approvingly.
"Good. Remember, the demons will be seeking out the shards as well. You'll need to be on your guard at all times. Take care of each other, and may the gods guide your path." Kaede said.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting the world in the shadows of twilight, Kagome let out a weary sigh. The day had been a rollercoaster of events, and now they faced an even more challenging journey ahead.
"It's getting late. We should find a place to rest for the night before starting our search for the jewel shards in the morning."
Kaede nodded in agreement, her expression grave.
"You're right, young one. You will need your strength for the journey ahead. There is that small hut not far from here. Take shelter there for the night. I will gather some basic supplies for your journey." Kaede said.
Kagome offered a grateful smile to Kaede, appreciating the old woman's foresight.
"Thank you, Kaede. We'll head to the hut and rest. We'll need all the rest we can get before we start hunting for the shards." Kagome said.
Inuyasha grumbled under his breath but said nothing to protest. He was exhausted from the day's events and knew they all needed a good night's rest before their quest began.
"Let's get a move on. I need some sleep more than anything right now." InuYasha said.
Kagome suppressed an irritated eye-roll at Inuyasha's grumble, but she nodded in agreement. They made their weary way to the small hut that Kaede had mentioned, the night's chill setting in as they walked.
