Inuyasha's eyes widened as he saw Kaede fall to the ground. Despite his own predicament, his concern for her pushed aside his own fear.

"Kaede!" InuYasha called out, taking a step towards her.

"Are you alright?" InuYasha asks.

InuYasha wanted to go to her, to make sure she was truly okay, but the possessed woman was still standing in his path, her limbs twitching in preparation for another attack.

As Inuyasha watched, the possessed woman still hovering nearby, another figure appeared in the clearing. This time, it was a man who was being held aloft by Yura's hair strands, his body twitching and jerking in the air like a marionette.

Yura, the demon controlling both the woman and the man, lashed out, her hair strands shooting out towards Inuyasha like a spider's web. One of the strands caught his hair, wrapping around it with a vice-like grip. Inuyasha's eyes widened as he felt the strand tighten, his hair being held prisoner like a hunter captured its prey.

Inuyasha acted quickly, knowing he needed to prioritize Kaede's safety above everything else. He hoisted her onto his back, her body feeling deceptively light in his arms. With careful steps, he navigated through the forest, seeking out a quiet spot where they could catch their breaths.

Kaede was barely conscious, her head resting on Inuyasha's shoulder as he carried her through the forest.

"Inuyasha..." Kaede whispered, her voice barely audible.

"Why are you...saving me...?" Kaede asks.

Inuyasha paused for a moment, his steps slowing as he considered her question. Why was he saving her? Was it just a sense of duty, or was there more to it than that?

"Don't ask stupid questions," He retorted gruffly, but there was a hint of tenderness in his voice. "You're hurt, and I'm not just gonna leave you out there to fend for yourself." InuYasha says.

A small, pained smile tugged at the corners of Kaede's lips. She knew Inuyasha could be brusque and rough around the edges, but beneath that gruff exterior was a heart filled with more compassion than he would ever admit.

"I'm...surprised," Kaede said, her voice still faint, but with a hint of amusement.

Inuyasha rolled his eyes, pretending to be annoyed by her comment. But deep down, he was secretly pleased that she could still find humor in their situation.

"Yeah, well, don't get used to it," InuYasha grumbled, continuing his pace as he navigated through the trees.

"I ain't playing nursemaid to you all the time," InuYasha says.

As Inuyasha and Kaede moved deeper into the forest, seeking refuge, Yura, the demon controlling the possessed bodies, was close behind. She followed their trail, her eyes fixed on Inuyasha, her attention focused on his hair. She muttered to herself, her voice a low, eerie whisper.

"His hair...so beautiful...so perfect...I must have it..." Yura whispered.

Inuyasha spotted a small clearing amid the trees, a tranquil spot free from prying eyes. He gently laid Kaede down on the soft grass, making sure she was comfortable.
