As the demon fled, Inuyasha turned his attention to the ground, his eyes locking onto a glint of something shimmering in the undergrowth.

"Looks like the demon dropped something..." InuYasha said.

He picked up a jewel shard ball, holding it up in the dim light to examine it closely.

Kagome observed as Inuyasha examined the glimmering object he had picked up from the ground.

She tilted her head curiously, her eyes fixated on the shiny object.

"What is that? It looks valuable..." Kagome says.

Inuyasha held the jewel shard up, his golden eyes fixed on the object in his palm.

"It's a Shikon Jewel Shard," InuYasha said.

InuYasha continued to examine the shard, his gaze intense. InuYasha didn't realize that It wasn't the real jewel shard ball but an imitation.

"It looks familiar," Kagome says.

Kagome's eyes widened as Inuyasha revealed the nature of the Shikon jewel shard he had found. Memories of her discovery suddenly resurfaced in her mind.

"Wait, I think I have something that looks similar to that and was planning to ask someone else but never got the chance." Kagome said.

Kagome fumbled in her backpack, pulling out the same looking jewel shard she found on the ground earlier that was near the bone eater's well. As she held it up, the dim light revealed its translucent purple color.

Inuyasha's eyes widened when he saw the jewel shard in her hand. Without wasting a moment, he lunged forward, his hand outstretched to snatch the other jewel shard from her.

But Kagome was quick and darted out of his reach, clutching the shard protectively to her chest.

"Hey, hold on a second! What do you think you're doing?" Kagome said.

Kagome's grip on the shard tightened instinctively as Inuyasha attempted to snatch it from her. Her eyes were wide with surprise and confusion, her voice carrying a hint of caution.

"Stop! I don't know what these shards are or what you want them for, but you can't just take it from me like that!" Kagome says.

Inuyasha let out an impatient growl at Kagome's resistance, his ears flattened against his head in irritation.

"Damn it, Kagome! That jewel shard is valuable, and I need it! Give it to me!" InuYasha insisted.

InuYasha made another lunge for the shard, but she dodged him once more, her skill preventing him from getting his hands on it.

Kagome's grip on the shard only tightened further as Inuyasha's aggression grew. Her heart raced with a mixture of fear and determination, her voice firm but tinged with a hint of unease.

"No! I found this shard, and I want to know why you want it so badly! You can't just demand things from me! Tell me what you plan to do with these shards before I give it to you!" Kagome speaks.

Inuyasha gritted his teeth in frustration, his patience growing thin. He took a step closer to her, his eyes locking onto hers with a fierce intensity.

"Look, I don't have time to explain everything. Just hand over the damn shard! Those things are powerful, and I need them to fulfill a very important goal." InuYasha spoke.
