Kagome quickly slipped behind a nearby bush, away from Inuyasha's sight, and hastily changed into Kikyo's clothes. She couldn't believe what had just happened — being caught in such a state by Inuyasha, then using the word 'sit' on him without a second thought.

Kagome took a moment to gather herself, steadying her breath before she stepped out from behind the bush, now clothed in the traditional priestess clothing.

Inuyasha was still on the ground, his body slowly regaining its mobility as he struggled to get up. Once he was finally back on his feet, he dusted himself off and looked over at Kagome. His eyes widened once more as he took in the sight of her in Kikyo's clothes.

"You're... wearing her clothes," InuYasha said, his voice a mixture of surprise and something else that Kagome couldn't quite pinpoint.

Kagome nodded, her hands smoothing down the front of the black vestments. She could feel Inuyasha's eyes on her, the weight of his gaze making her feel self-conscious.

"Yes, yes, I am," Kagome replied, her voice slightly defensive.

"I asked Kaede to wash my regular clothes, so she lent me these in the meantime." Kagome avoided meeting his eye, feeling strangely guilty about wearing something that belonged to Kikyo.

Inuyasha's heart felt like it was doing somersaults in his chest. His eyes fixated on Kagome, taking in every detail of her appearance. She looked so much like Kikyo in those clothes — her face, her hair, the way she held herself — it was eerie.

InuYasha approached her, his footsteps measured, until he was standing right in front of her. He looked her up and down once more, his eyes drinking in the sight of her.

Kagome, uncomfortable under Inuyasha's intense gaze, took a small step backward, trying to maintain some distance between them. The way he was looking at her, like he was seeing a ghost, was unsettling.

"Inuyasha..." Kagome murmured, her voice tentative.

Stop looking at me like that. It's freaking me out." Kagome said.

"You... you look just like her," InuYasha finally managed to say, his voice barely above a whisper. He reached out a hand as if to touch her, but then stopped himself, his fingers hanging awkwardly in the air before he pulled them back.

There was a mixture of pain and confusion in his golden eyes as he continued staring at her.

Kagome shuddered at his words. She had never seen Inuyasha this unsettled. The mention of Kikyo, the way her appearance seemed to have affected him so deeply — it was all too much.

Kagome took another step back, trying to put more space between them.

"Inuyasha, I'm not Kikyo," Kagome said firmly, her voice edged with a hint of irritation.

"You need to understand that." Kagome said.

Inuyasha clenched his fists, his inner conflict clear on his face. Part of him knew that she was right - Kagome wasn't Kikyo. But somehow, the way she looked now...it was difficult to reconcile the two women in his mind.

"I know that," InuYasha said gruffly, his tone tinged with frustration.

"But you... you look exactly like her. How can I not...how can I not..." InuYasha says.

InuYasha trailed off, unable to find the right words.

Kagome's irritation grew further. She could see the conflict in Inuyasha's eyes, the torment of his emotions written all over his face, and it only served to make her more frustrated.
