#06 : Surprise

Y/n woke up from the ringing of her alarm clock, and remembered that she had agreed to meet with akiteru's lawyer today, which she absolutely regretted because it was scheduled at 9:30 in the morning and she had to wake up at 8 to get ready since she had her meet n greet for her book scheduled today that just came out a few weeks ago.

"You're making so much noise, be quiet it's so early" kiyoko walked up to their kitchen while y/n cracked an egg on the hot pan, "no, i was being quiet you're just a light sleeper" kiyoko groans once again, while y/n continued to season the egg on the pan.

"Make me whatever you're having for breakfast too" the raven haired said as she leaned her face on her hand, she was tired but she knew she probably wouldn't be able to sleep again, so she gave up on it.

"By the way i have a date with tanaka at like 7:00 tonight" she says eating a piece of her avocado toast, y/n almost spat her iced coffee, surprised by how easily she could say that "Wait, you're actually interested in him??" Kiyoko had a confused face on, the two hit it off in the funeral since he was there and he struck up a conversation, it surprisingly went well. They've been talking for a couple of days and he finally asked her out on a date.

"Yeah i mean he was really sweet when we talked last time" she smiled, "and I have no plans for today, i figured why not?"

"Uhuh, okay, i mean I can't really judge, I guess." hinting that she had worse exes in the past, specifically one she wasted her whole high school years on, although all the times they spent together didn't seem so bad then, the way it ended just ruined it for the them.

Y/n drove to the restaurant, the one that akiteru used to own, as she did, she saw a familiar car that was parked outside, her heart started beating faster than it already was as soon as she realized that it was the same as tsukishima's car.

She hoped to the lords if they do exist to not let it be tsukishima kei, but as she walked into the building she was greeted by the tall blonde and a shorter man who had jet black hair, wearing a suit and tie with glasses on.

"No fucking way." kei muttered under his breath but it was loud enough for the two to hear, he stared at the girl who stopped in her tracks as soon as she locked eyes with him, there was nothing but silence filling the whole entire place, the tension growing every second.

Takahiro looked at the two back and forth waiting for one of them to say something but nothing came out of their mouths, After a bit more of waiting takahiro grew tired and cleared his throat to indicate that they needed to carry on.

"Is there a problem?" he asks the two of them as they sat in different corners of the long table, as far as possible from each other, "nope, not at all." y/n replied and kei just shook his head trying to convince takahiro that there was really nothing wrong.

It was quiet until they started talking about what was written on the will, "Okay well, based on the will, you two are together?" takahiro asks looking at the two, trying to see who'd answer first. "Uh no we're not together anymore" kei replied after he sipped on his iced tea, "oh, so this might be awkward for the two of you then" takahiro felt bad for the situation they were both in since they probably felt obligated to do this.

"It's not my fault that you're immature, you have the brain of a 5 year old toddler." kei looked at her while having an annoyed face, y/n then looked at takahiro who has been staring back at the two of them ever since they started this whole argument for the past 20 minutes bickering about a completely different subject they were talking about before.

Takahiro originally asked the two, if they would have time to supervise the place from time to time, and to take care of it, Now they were arguing about if they should renovate the place or not. "Hey takahiro, isn't he the one who started this whole argument in the first place? and he's calling me immature."

Takahiro opened his mouth looking for the words to say, but before he could kei interrupted him, "That's funny, you're literally pissed cause it's true. Plus you're the one who basically just asked for someone to go side you on whatever dumb argument this is, you're the immature one"

Y/n scoffed, "Right, you—" she got cut off by takahiro closing his briefcase, "I'll skip through the formalities, because if I do I know it will take us the whole day just to get through one page. I'll give you two the paperwork, to sign and think about it, my phone number is in the first page, contact me when you've made the decision"

With that he stood up and left the restaurant, both knew he had enough of their bickering, they looked at each other before standing up with annoyed faces, "Next time I see you, I'm going to punch you until you fail to succumb and fall to the ground" the h/c haired girl threatened the blonde.

"I can get you arrested for that"

"No you can't, pussy" y/n walked away from him leaving him in front of the building as she went in inside her car.

'He's unbelievable, I hate him so much. He didn't change at at all.' she thought to herself after starting her car engine and driving off.
