06. indirect kiss

Kim Haerin

"Are everyone ready? We will start the shoot." The director announced getting approval from all the actors and crew members.

We were going to shoot the basketball scene now with group no. two. Even though it was a fake game for the shoot, I was nervous that I would mess up. Taking my position I glance at Eunji receiving a cheerful smile as she gestures for me to focus.

"Action!" Upon hearing the command the ball began to pass among everyone with its sound echoed through the gymnasium. Being a defender I tried my best to focus and do as I was told.

Just preventing them from achieving a goal.

Everything was going smoothly until I heard my name being called. "Haerin, catch!" One of the girls passed the ball to me and the next moment I saw a bunch of girls running towards me. My eyes flickered looking at the amount of people gathering around me which made me panic.

Processing everything my gaze suddenly landed on Jiyeon who gestured for me to pass the ball towards her. I glanced between her and the girls who were surrounding me. Even though I highly doubt her, she is in our team and I passed the ball in her direction without thinking much.

Now everyone was focused towards her as she moved back to catch the ball but suddenly she tripped on her other foot and lost her balance falling down making a thud as she cried in pain. With a loud gasp everyone stood there in shock which made the director stop the shooting.

"Cut! Everyone checks that girl." Eunji quickly came towards me as we both glanced at each other before running towards Jiyeon. Sitting there she looked at her right arm, which had a scratch as blood was visible on it. I gulped not expecting such an awful situation.

"Someone bring first aid." One of the crew members told another person while they examined her wound and other body parts to see if there were more injuries. Suddenly Jiyeon lifted her gaze, her eyes filled with tears as it seemed like she might cry anytime. When our eyes met, I didn't know if it was just me but her eyes looked at mine with hatred before a tear rolled down her cheeks.

"Why did you throw the ball that high, Haerin? You knew it was just a shoot yet you decided to make it a battleground." My eyes widened upon hearing those words as now every attention was on me. What is this girl saying?

"I just threw the ball high so you could catch it. Why are you blaming me all of a sudden when you, yourself tripped on your foot and fell down." I defended myself by giving her a reality check but she shook her head, totally refusing whatever I said.

"I might have not tripped and fallen if only you played a little more carefully. Don't you think you should apologise for your mistake?" I was in disbelief, she began to tear up more as the staff helped her get up. I felt constant glares coming towards me as I heard others whispering calling me a rude and self centred person.

"I think you should apologise, it is not good to argue about whose fault it was or not." The director said who has been analysing everything till now. I was flabbergasted hearing him, a sensation of anger building up in me.

"But it wasn-" Before I could speak further the director stopped me.

"We have stopped a shoot because of this situation Ms. Kim. We have just limited time and we can't waste it over a small argument." He said, making me look down. Eunji clenched on my hand to support me.

"But sir, it was not Haerin's fault. We all saw that, you can even check the video for the evidence." Eunji spoke but it was in vain. He didn't listen to her which disappointed us but I didn't react. The shoot has already started and arguing will create more trouble for us.
