24. game of feelings

Kim Haerin

"Can we play some games now?" One of the boys from the class interrupted when Heeseung and I were talking to a few students.

My eyes darted on him as he stood in the middle of the whole class, looking at us with hopeful eyes.

Trailing my gaze around, I glanced at Heeseung who most probably caught me staring at him, quickly making eye contact with me.

A smile curled up on his lips once our eyes met before he got up from the desk, he has been sitting at looking around at kids who followed each of his moves with their small curious eyes.

"Fine then how many of you are ready to play games?"

"ME! ME! ME!"

A loud scream of kids shouting in a reunion filled the whole room making me almost become deaf, covering my eyes.

I glared at Heeseung who laughed at my state, finding it hilarious.

My eyes gestured for him to stop all this as the guy made a small pout on his babying my reaction, provoking me.

"Everyone okay, okay! Quiet down, your Haerin miss is turning deaf due to your screams."

He mocked me, as every kid present in the classroom laughed looking at me but the moment a glare passed from me, made them quiet, before their gaze again turned to Heeseung.

"Don't be scared, you all. She just looks scary but she is actually a girl with a sweetheart."

He spoke the last word in english, making my heart flutter a little realising how his voice became more deep and attractive as he used the language.

Focusing at his words more precisely to understand what he meant I actually realised he indirectly called me with the same nickname he often referred to me as, causing my cheeks to get tinted with pink flush making me quickly look away.

I could still feel his gaze on me and can say he was doing all this intentionally, enjoying everything and that was the worst part here.

His presence was slowly affecting me, making it hard for me and my heart.

"Okay so let's play the game now. Do you all have any specific game you want to play?"

He asked, looking at the kids with curiosity, waiting for someone to say until a boy raised his hand, ready to suggest his idea.

"Arm wrestling!" His reply created chaos in the whole room making everyone interested to play the game.

Heeseung and I both laughed at their excitement as Heeseung tried to quiet them down by putting his index finger against hus lips, to gesture to them to calm down.

"Fine, fine! We will play it. So how should we choose the pairs? Boy & boy , girl & girl or boy & girl?"

"Boy & girl!"

They screamed again, this time it was Heeseung who almost got deaf by their voice, a laughter escaped my lips finding it unbelievably funny.

"You know kids, you don't have to scream every time to answer me. My hearing range is not that high."

His statement made everyone in the room burst into laughter, including me as he tried to make an irritating face but instead he himself ended up laughing.

The sound of our laughter echoed everywhere like a lovely melody in the cold breeze.

Being here I felt, I myself became a child was among all these children, their smile was like the most beautiful flower of the world which blooms everyday without any specific need.
