"What the hell are you doing in our house at this time?" Carmen asked Pietro, furious. It was around 3 a.m. now. Pietro and Rosi had come straight to Carmen's house because they suspected she had something to do with Dino's disappearance.
At first, Carmen didn't recognize Pietro because she hadn't seen him in a long time. Then she got angry that he was at her house.
"Calm down, Carmen. Let them talk," Mr. Moreno said, sounding tired. He couldn't stand hearing Carmen's angry voice at 3 a.m. He would rather listen to his enemy's son than his wife yelling at this hour.
"Mom, where's Dino?" Rosi asked, crying. "Tell me where he is."
"Who's Dino?" Carmen asked.
"Dino is my son. You know that! You saw him at my birthday. Where the hell is he, Mom?" Rosi shouted.
"Rosi, what happened?" Mr. Moreno asked calmly.
"Dino is missing," Rosi replied, her voice breaking.
"Isn't he with his father? Why do you think we had something to do with it?" Carmen asked angrily.
"It's because you're the one who gave him away for adoption," Pietro said, his voice full of anger. "Now tell me, where the hell is my son?"
"How do I know where he is? I didn't do anything! Is it my fault now that you can't protect your son, Pietro? I have no interest in your son," Carmen said.
"But you're the one who kidnapped him last time. How can we trust you, Mom? You're a liar," Rosi cried.
"She's telling the truth, Rosi. We didn't do anything to him. To be honest, we tried to hide him from you. But you found him. Now, there's no reason to hide him anymore," Mr. Moreno said. He sounded guilty but didn't apologize for what he and his wife did sixteen years ago.
"Let's go, Rosi," Pietro said, realizing it was no use wasting time here.
When Pietro got back home, the others were surprised to see Rosi with him. They didn't recognize her at first because she wasn't the 18-year-old girl they remembered. She looked a bit different now. But after a few seconds, they realized who she was.
"Why is she here?" Don asked. He didn't look angry, but he didn't look pleased either.
"I went to her house to find Dino, but she knows nothing about him. Now she's upset and worried about Dino," Pietro paused. "And she told me what happened sixteen years ago. She also wants to find Dino because she's his mother. I thought she has the right to do that too," Pietro explained.
"Oh, she remembers she's his mother after sixteen years. That's great!" Rocco said firmly. Rosi felt hurt by Rocco's sharp words.
Pietro quietly led Rosi to his room and then returned to talk with Don and his brothers. He told them what Rosi had shared with him.
"What if she's lying?" Rocco asked.
Don gestured with his hand for Rocco to stop talking. "Well, because she's his mother, she has the right to search for him," Don said, surprising everyone.
"You're okay with her staying here?" Niko asked, shocked.
"I'm an old man now. Not sure when I'll die. It's up to you three to make decisions about your lives. You're all grown men. If you still need my guidance for your life decisions, then you're all messed up, and I don't know what kind of sons I raised. Give this old man a break. I just want to find my grandson safe and soon," Don said.
"Okay then, whatever," Rocco muttered.
"Yeah, you've always done the opposite of what Papa asked. Still the same, no different. Because you're his favorite, you always get a free pass no matter what you do," Rocco said, a bit jealous.
"Come on, man. His son is missing. Let's talk about that later," Niko said, feeling sympathy for Pietro.
"Anyway, if you two are going to sleep in the same bed, make sure she doesn't get pregnant again, Pietro," Rocco said as he left the house, now more upset about Rosi being there than about Dino.
Niko gently placed a hand on Pietro's back. "Don't mind him. You know how he is. Let's focus on finding Dino first. After that, you two can fight as much as you want."
Pietro felt his stomach burn at the mention of Dino's name. He didn't know what to do. Luca still hadn't found any clues about Dino, but he was trying hard, and Pietro knew that.
Pietro went to his room feeling like a loser. He was tired, but he couldn't sleep. Rosi was sitting on his bed, lost in thought. Her eyes were swollen from crying so much.
"I think it was a bad idea for me to come here. I'm just causing you more trouble," Rosi said.
"That's fine," Pietro said, sitting on the other side of the bed.
"I'm sorry for everything I did. I was so stupid back then. I can't believe how foolish I was," Rosi said.
"Yeah, you were stupid back then," Pietro agreed. "You were too innocent, and being that innocent is actually stupid. You think everyone is like you until they destroy you."
Rosi guessed Pietro was talking about her parents. If he was, she couldn't blame him, because they had indeed destroyed her while pretending to care.
Pietro lay down on the bed, and after a few seconds, Rosi heard him snoring. He had a long day, so it was no wonder he fell asleep as soon as he lay down. Rosi wasn't sure what to do. She felt it wasn't right to sleep in the same bed as Pietro. He was the one who wanted her to come here, even though she had refused. She felt uncomfortable staying in a foreign place, but at the same time, it felt better not to be alone in this situation.
Rosi went to the couch in the room and lay down there.

"Papa, Papa," Pietro heard Dino's voice. He looked around and realized the voice came from his room. There was no one in the house, and it felt lonely. He wondered where everyone had gone. He climbed the staircase to the second floor to go to Dino's room.
"Papa," he heard Dino's voice behind the door.
"Dino, are you in there?" Pietro said happily. He tried to open the door, but it was locked.
"Dino, open the door," Pietro urged, trying hard to push against it. He slammed his whole body against the door.
"Papa," Dino's voice was no longer close. It faded away, as if it were coming from a distance.
"Papa, please open the door. It's dark in here," Dino's voice echoed from far away.
"Dino, wait! I'll open the door. Don't go, Dino. Wait!" Pietro yelled. He continued to try to break down the door, but he felt deep down that Dino was not in the room.
"Pietro, Pietro," he woke up to Rosi's voice. He was sweating and felt like his head was about to explode.
"Are you okay? You screamed Dino in your sleep," Rosi said, looking at him with fear.
"It was just a dream. Oh, my head. It hurts so bad," Pietro said, touching his head with his hands. The pain throbbed across his face, and Rosi felt bad for him. She quickly found some painkillers and handed them to him.
