Chapter 43

When Dino went home in the evening, Helio was waiting, furious. He looked as mad as Bruce Banner. Good thing he didn't have powers like the Hulk, or Dino would've taken a punch as hard as the Incredible Hulk.

Dino had no idea Helio was waiting for him, nor that he knew about the lie he told Enya. He didn't know Enya had spread the gossip all over the school. In fact, Dino didn't even know about the school chat group since he was new and didn't have many friends yet. Kacper knew about the group but never bothered to tell Dino, having been bullied there several times before and leaving the group.

Dino parked his car in the garage and stepped out. As soon as he did, Helio stood in front of him. One look at Helio's face, and Dino knew he had definitely messed something up.

Without saying a word, Helio threw a punch at Dino, sending him stumbling back a few steps. Dino tasted blood.

"What the fuck, dude?" Dino asked, shocked.

"Did you think it was funny to tell a bunch of gossip girls that I don't like girls?" Helio shouted angrily.

"I-I'm sorry. I didn't know you actually didn't like girls. I just said that to escape from her," Dino misunderstood Helio and said something that only made Helio angrier. Helio jumped at Dino like a tiger and started hitting him.

"Who the hell told you I don't like girls? I like girls, you fucker! Why did you think it was a good idea to spread lies about me in a girls' school?" Helio yelled, his voice filled with rage.

"I said I'm sorry! I didn't know they spread gossip!" Dino screamed, trying to fight back. But it was like Helio had extra power fueled by his anger. "Stop hitting me! I didn't mean for any of this to happen! Aw... ahhhhh!" Dino yelled in pain.

Suddenly, Luca came and pushed Helio away. "What's going on, little monsters... Sorry, masters," Luca said, a smirk playing on his lips that no one noticed.

"Why the hell should I tell you this? You're just a bodyguard! I'll tell Papa!" Helio shouted angrily.

"That's true, boss. I really don't want to get involved with your problems, but I can't let you two fight each other," Luca replied.

"Why are you two fighting?" they heard an old, deep voice, and both Dino and Helio froze at the sound of Don's voice. No one knew how the hell he got there; he was supposed to be in his bed.

"Fuck," Helio murmured.

"What's that, Helio?" Don asked, walking in the garden with his walking stick.

Helio thought for a few seconds and then spilled everything. Don gave a firm look to Dino. Dino noticed Luca smirking, as if he was enjoying the story far too much.

"Come to my room, you two thugs," Don said in a loud, harsh tone.

Dino and Helio stood in front of Don in his office. Don took a call to Rocco and Pietro, so they had to wait until the two arrived to start the conversation. It took some time for Rocco and Pietro to come home from the office; they never said no to Don.

Dino's heart raced as he saw Pietro's disappointed and angry face. Anxiety began to cloud his mind with fear. He felt upset for making Pietro mad and worried that he no longer loved him. What if Pietro threw him out of the house? Dino thought. No matter what Pietro said, he always suffered from the fear of being kicked out of the family and becoming an orphan again. He still wasn't completely sure if Pietro loved him. This fear made him feel weak.
