The next evening, Pietro took Dino back home. Luca felt upset about what had happened to Dino. He could have saved Dino from others, but how could he save him from his own stupidity? Every time Dino faced a problem, memories of losing his son haunted Luca like a curse. He wondered how Pietro would feel if something really bad happened to Dino. Luca knew that pain all too well. He was not fond of Pietro, but he didn't want him to experience the same heartache that he had endured.
Dino was resting on his bed when Don slowly entered the room, using his walking stick. Don sat on Dino's bed and didn't look angry; he appeared calm.
"Dino, how are you now?" Don asked kindly. Dino was surprised by his gentle tone.
"I'm okay now, Grandpa," Dino replied politely.
"Dino, we were so worried about you. We worried about you more than you think," Don said, and Dino felt guilty. It was all his fault. "Don't hurt Pietro this much, Dino. Well, Pietro caused me more trouble than you ever did. I punished him enough for that. But he's not like me. He worries so much about you. I haven't seen him act like that before," Don said calmly. Since Don didn't look angry, Dino didn't feel scared.
"I know, Grandpa. I'm sorry," Dino said, looking down.
"Next time, before you kiss a girl, make sure she didn't eat any shellfish first," Don said softly, squeezing Dino's shoulder before leaving the room. Dino's face flushed at what Don said. He wondered how many relatives already knew about his kiss. He covered his face with his hands and groaned, thinking about it.
Dino's phone buzzed with a notification, and he checked it. It was May, and he saw that Kacper had also sent him some messages. He had been sleeping most of the time while in the hospital, so he hadn't checked his phone.
"Hey baby, how are you feeling now?" May's message made Dino blush, and a smile appeared at the corner of his lips.
"I came home. Feeling better now. Everyone knows about our kiss 😣," Dino typed back.
"Lol," May replied.
Dino noticed a message from an unknown number and opened it.
"Hey Dino, it's me, Rosi. I heard you had an allergy and were taken to the hospital. Hope you're okay. I was worried. Kacper gave me your number," Dino read the message.
"I'm okay, Rosi. I'm at home. Thanks for checking 🙂," Dino replied and saved Rosi's number in his phone.
"Dino, I gave your number to Rosi. She worried about you. Is that okay? Sorry, I should have asked first, but you didn't reply," Kacper's message read.
"That's fine. I came home. Everyone knows about our kiss :/. So embarrassing," Dino sent back.
"What are you talking about? Our kiss? We didn't kiss 😮. Why do they think we kissed?" Kacper replied.
"Err, not us, stupid. It's me and May," Dino quickly replied.
"Oh... sorry. That's bad. Well, Natisha and I also kissed, but no one knows about that. Hikz," Kacper sent another message.
"That's because you don't have a stupid allergy like me," Dino replied.
"I can't believe you did something so stupid," Kacper responded.
