Lyra Stark - Goddess of War

Chapter 42

Lyra hates the cafeteria. The loud people. The small meal size. She can't eat much as she needs in public.
"Okay get in the line and let us all take two slides. My metabolism is really fast and needs a lot of food", Lyra says and gets to the end of the line for the food. Peter and Pietro laughs.
"I also need a lot of food. I am the fastest man alive", Pietro says amused, "So also my metabolism too." Peter nods and looks at them.
"It's cool that we are all need much food but please don't talk loud about it. Ms Romanoff and mister Stark said that no one should now that we are superhuman", Peter says and Lyra looks unbelievably at him.
"Do you really call my parents by their last names? Peter you know them for years. I am sure they would be okay if you call them Natasha and Tony", Lyra says amused and looks to the food. He looks at her.
"I know but it's not that easy to stop it", he answers and takes two slides of pizza. Lyra and Pietro do the same. Just Wanda takes a single slide and follows the others to a table. MJ and Ned sit at the table and talk. They look up as the four sit down.
"Hey. It's look like you will eat the pizza of all", MJ jokes and Lyra nods.
"I wish this two slides of pizza would be enough to be full", Lyra answers and begins to eat. Pietro and Peter also start eating. Ned looks at them and smiles.
"We are happy that you are back. It was so quiet without you", Ned says and looks at her, "We need to make our Lego days again." Lyra looks at Ned and thinks about his words.
"I missed it too, to be here. And I would like to continue our Lego days", she says and it was the true. Even that she doesn't remembered them the most time in the last years, she realizes that she missed her friends very much. She knows that the twins would find out that Lyra is a geek like her friends. She looks to MJ and Wanda which talk about school and Lyra smiles. She likes to see that Wanda find someone to talk in school. Pietro looks at the other boys.
"What is a Lego day?", he asks the three. Peter smirks and looks at him.
"Every month we sit for a complete Saturday by one of us at home and build new Lego sets", Peter answers Pietro question and eats, "Lyra is a Lego geek like us. But she has the coolest sets so with engineering." Lyra looks at them and sighs, nods.
"My dad bought just the coolest sets for me. In my wardrobe are two or three sets that he bought before my disappearance", she says truthfully and smiles, "If you want you can come this Saturday. Then we can build them by me. My family doesn't want me to go out alone after everything." She eats the rest and leans back. In corner of her eye Lyra can see Liz and her group coming to them.  She looks at Pietro and Wanda.
"If you two want you can come to my party Friday night", she says and gives them invitations. Lyra rolls her eyes and looks at Liz.
"Do you have not enough friends by your own that you need mine?", Lyra asks calm and looks at Liz. She laughs.
"No. I am just nice to new students", Liz answers and looks down at her. Lyra breathes deeply. She doesn't like Liz.
"Sorry but we have plans for Friday", Pietro says and gives Liz her invitations back. He lays his hand under the table on Lyra's hand. Lyra smiles and looks at him. Liz looks mad and goes away.
"I thought such girls only exist in movies about high schools", Pietro says and eat his last slide pizza. MJ looks at him.
"This was the nice side of her", MJ says and looks at them, "But you two are a nice couple. No wonder that he doesn't need a party." Lyra's face turns red and Wanda looks disbelieving at them.
"Wait, you two are a couple? And you are alive?", Wanda asks both and can't believe that she hasn't seen it. Pietro looks at his sister. He nods.
"Yes but we hide it from the others. We need to find out if we want to be a real couple", Pietro answers and smirks, holds Lyra's hand. She looks at Pietro and doesn't know that they are a couple in his mind, but she smiles. She likes it that he said it first. So she nods.
"Of course my family doesn't know. My brothers would kill him and bring him back to life, to kill him again. All three of them", Lyra replies and smirks. Peter looks irritated at her.
"Are not only two of them you brothers?", he asks her. She nods.
"Yes biological are only two my brothers, no biological only one. The other is adopted. But the third has raised me before my dad adopted me", she explains him, "But I see him just as brother." Wanda looks at her.
"I am not sure if Bucky see you as sister. In his mind he has thought about adopting you before he find out that Stark adopted you years ago", Wanda says and looks at her. Lyra thinks about it and shakes her head.
"No. This would be just to be my legal guardian. But dad is really my dad for me. I had the talk with my oldest brother today morning. He wants me to meet our father, but I am not interested in meeting him", she explains and thinks about it. She can't imagine Bucky as her father. He was every time a brother for her, her protector.
"Okay", Wanda says calm and drinks her water. Lyra thinks about it and leans against Pietro tired.
"I don't want to go to gym... I should say I am sick or something else...", she mumbles and has no idea how to hide her arm.
"Don't say this. We have today the yearly fitness challenge", Peter says amused. Lyra stands up. She needs to film this video and show it Bucky.
"Oh my god. You two need to see the video of Steve", she says amused and takes her tablet and brings it away. Pietro follows her and look at her.
„I hope it was okay that I said we are a couple", he asks her and walk next her. She nods and smiles.
„Yes it is okay. I like it, really. But I wasn't sure what you think about it before. So I am relieved that you said it at the first one", she answers him and smiles weak. He look at her and smiles also.
„Also gym is the next lesson?", he asks her and Lyra nods. She hasn't a idea how to hide her arm and scars. Her only plan was to wear a pullover with long sleeves and her gloves. She will talk to the coach.
„You can wear long clothes for the start until you feel good and ready to let others know about the arm", he whispers and looks how the others go to the gym, „Do we make tonight a other film night?" Lyra laughs and nods.
„Yes. But one day Loki will find you in my wardrobe and will like to show me how to use his daggers with you as target", Lyra says and walks with him to the gym after the others. She smiles happy. Both stops in front of the changing rooms.
„So we see us soon", she says with a smirk, before going in the changing room. Lyra sees the other girls and breathes deep. She looks to Wanda and needs help. She goes to her locker and takes her sportswear, walk in the bathroom. She can't change in front of the others. So she changes fast in the bathroom and looks in the mirror to check everything before coming out to Wanda and MJ.
„Okay let's have fun", MJ says sarcastically and the three go in the hall.
