Chapter 63

Pietro holds Lyra tight in his arms and stops in the common room. They stand in front of everyone. Lyra's view is empty and her fear about Thors death grows faster. Pietro let her down.
"Lyra?", he asks worried and helps her to sit down. She stares in the air and doesn't reply. Natasha comes to her and looks worried.
"Sweetie? What happened?", Natasha asks and sits down next to her. Lyra looks to Natasha.
"Thor is dead...", Lyra mumbles and tears get in her eyes. Wanda and Vision come nearer to her.
"What are you say?", Vision asks her and looks at her. Lyra looks up to him.
"Thor is dead. Thanos has killed him", Lyra says again and this time louder. Everyone looks at her.
"Are you sure?", Wanda asks and looks at her. Lyra nods.
"He sent us away before Thanos attacked him because of the tesseract", Lyra answers, "He can't survive being in space without air..." Lyra stares at the stone in Visions head. She stands up.
"We need to remove the stone from you if you want to survive", Lyra says and looks at Vision, "Thanos will come for it. On earth are three stones. The tesseract, the time and the mind stone. The stone in Visions head is the mind stone." Lyra only knows one place in earth with the right equipment for this. She looks to Natasha and Pietro. It wasn't Lyra's plan to meet Shuri again after short time.
"You think about Wakanda, right? Shuri has the technology to remove the stone", Natasha says and Lyra nods. Pietro wants to tell the fact that Lyra also could be in danger, but as he sees her glances he stays quiet.
"We should fly directly. We haven't much time", Lyra says and looks to all, "I go and change before we start." She goes to her room and needs a moment alone. The tears roll down her face and she allow herself to cry about Thor. She kneels down in front of her wardrobe. She doesn't want to show the others her weakness. But a louder cry escaped her throat. She gives up allows herself to cry louder.
The other in the common room hears Lyra crying. Pietro and Natasha want to go to her, but Sam stops both.
"Don't. She doesn't want us to know how hard this is for her. If she would, she would have cry here in your arms", he says and accepts that Lyra doesn't want to show weakness. He has seen many people who breakdown after the dead of a family member, but the difference is that she has seen how he got killed. Natasha looks to the stairs and wishes she could go to her daughter.
"Everyone gets ready! We bring Vision to Wakanda", Natasha says and looks to the group. The only person that isn't here is Clint. He is with his family and Natasha decides to let him stay with his family.
Lyra calms down and gets up. She changes her clothes and washes her face, removes the makeup from last night. Lyra looks in the mirror and breathes deep. She goes down and takes two guns from the weapon room. She hides them under her clothes before going to the Avengers.
"Are you ready?", Lyra asks them and looks how everyone is in their suit. Pietro hasn't change and Lyra knows that he has another plan.
"Yes, let's go", Natasha says and writes Tony that Lyra is with them on the way to Wakanda. Everyone gets in the jet and takes a seat. Lyra sits on the pilot seat with Natasha as copilot.
"Are you okay?", Natasha asks her and Lyra nods.
"Yes, I am", she answers and starts the motor.
"Lyra! We told you to hide!", Loki's voice fills the room, and Lyra turns around as she sees Loki getting in the jet a moment before she starts.
"I hide", Lyra answers and controls the jet, taps the coordinates in the navigation, "but where is dad?" Loki looks at her.
"Some of Thanos people attack New York. He and Strange fight with this Spider-kid", Loki says and looks at her, "Stark sent me to you." Lyra looks shocked. How could he send her away but decides to fight against these aliens?
"What?", Lyra asks again.
"They are in Space on the spaceship. All of them. stark sent me to you for your protection. They have the time stone", Loki says, and Lyra looks shocked.
"You tell me that Thanos has them? No... I can't lose dad after the loss of Thor", she says and can't believe this. Loki looks at her.
"I don't want to lose you! But you are one of Thanos possible targets. Not only this you are with the mind stone", but he also says angry. Lyra looks up.
"Oh, and you don't have the tesseract with you?", Lyra asks mad. He realizes in this moment that they are all the biggest targets. Lyra looks mad at him.
"These dumb stones! Just because of them if Thor dead!", Lyra says angry. Sam comes to them.
"Lyra change your place with me. Natasha and I are flying the jet", he says. Lyra stands up and goes to Sam's old place. She looks mad and wishes the stones would be destroyed.
"Let us destroy the tesseract. He can't complete his plan if one stone is destroyed", Lyra says and looks up. Loki looks at Lyra.
"No! This is a suicidal idea!", he answers and looks at her. Lyra shakes her head.
"No. I can do this. I have the power to do this", Lyra disagrees and wants to try it. She knows she is strong enough for it.
"You wait till we are in Wakanda!", Natasha says and looks to them, "So sit down and shut your mouth!" Lyra gets quiet and Loki too. He sits down. Both have too much respect for Natasha. Lyra takes her phone and writes Pepper what happens actually, to give her an update about Tony and writes her also drive in the Compound to stay safe till they come home. Lyra leans back and recognizes that she sits next to Wanda. She decides to sleep till they are in Wakanda. She needs the energy for the fight. Lyra closes her eyes and hears how Wanda and Pietro change their places. Lyra leans against Pietro's shoulder.
"I'm sorry that I left you last night", she whispers to him, and he lays his arm around her.
"It wasn't your fault", he answers calm, "but you should sleep for a while." Lyra nods and tries to sleep. She is tired but all the thoughts let her stay awake. Loki looks at her and sees that she struggles. He goes to her and uses his magic to let her sleep while they fly.
"Like you said she needs to sleep. But her mind is loud. I can hear it without trying to do it", Loki says and sit down on the floor to watch after hers
