Sukumo was parrying away the man's attacks using his lightning cutter, when suddenly he got a vision of the person disappearing and reappearing next to him. In his vision he was stabbed and his body felt drained like his soul was getting ripped out and the uzamaki body transforming similar to a bat. With this hindsight sukumo was able to block the strike when he teleported, although the teleportion seemed to resemble flying thunder god technique it wasn't the same leaving sakumo to come up with a conclusion.
