Its been a few weeks since madara had left and betrayed the village, tobriama and hashirama along with all of the clan heads were discussing the politics of the hidden leaf when the topic about madara came raised. Hashirama was conflicted about this friend betraying but this brought to the attention of tobriama once everyone had left he stayed behind with his brother.

"I fear for the safety of our villages brother".

"Because of madara" hashirama replied.

"Yes, I believe unless we are equipped to deal with him he'll beat us he's getting stronger every day probably, imagine his power once he is able to control his awakened state and has access to his full sharingan abilities".

"Madara indeed will be a threat".

"I've been thinking, I am to be blamed for madara continous sprial down to madness, if I hadn't pushed him away then all of this wouldn't have had happened".

Hashirama was taken aback by tobriama confession, he'd had thought that but didn't brought not wanting tobriama to blame himself.

"You could have been more inviting but madara as you said was already following, I'm afraid he's far to gone for me to save now, something was telling me that madara was gonna turn this path regardless of both of our choices".

"Entirely possible brother, if we face off with madara would you hesitate to kill him like all of the last times that you faced him in combat"

"If I were to be honest I don't even know if I could even if i wanted to".

"But would you fight him to the death if you must". Tobirama spoke

"I'll give him 1 last chance and if he doesn't stand down I'll do what I must to protect the village everyone has worked so hard to form". Hashirama spoke completely honest about his words.

"For you to do that, you cannot be strapped to a table going through paper work and going to meeting until madara is taken care of we both must train"

"I agree, I trust in the elders and the other clans man to take care of the leaf but what do you suggest we train in".

Tobriama placed a hand on his chin "maybe if we journey to other lands we can adapt and learn new techniques new styles of fighting we've never seen before and even be able to reqruite new allies, it's not a grantee but it's definitely something we should consider".

"We both cannot go abroad we can't risk an attack to other villages especially since the other villages are also being built, the land of lighting has the cloud village, earth has the stone village, there unlikely to attack but its something we have to consider".

Tobirama also put his imput "plus if we both go the villages opinion could change about us, to the people who abandoned the village exactly like madara".

After a few days of thinking hashirama decided to explore the world while tobriama stays in the village being known as the 1st hokage after a year of hashirama beginning his training. Tobirama meanwhile strengthened the village along with doing training himself, though hashirama's face was getting worked on before he left, it had been replaced with Tobirama instead with Tobirama even refusing to be called hokage he was forced to go in the position being the strongest the village had to offer.

Hashirama returned to the village after 2 years though revealing everything he had learned, as tobriama had done a great job as hokage hashirama couldn't get the position which hashirama didn't mind.

(For story purposes the reason why tobriama is the 1st hokage is because hashirama left the hidden to train, its not revealed how or when hashirama learned sage mode so I'm assuming he left the village to train other locations to get access to nature energy and with how crazy this new world is he had to spend more time training and fighting randoms along with mastering all forms of haki with doing all of this training instead of just sage mode it took more time causing the village to need a hokage which tobriama was forced to step up)
