Harin's Perspective:

I stood with the help of the wall, just inches from my room. My legs were still trembling, the encounter was replaying in my mind like a dark echo. How could he just...

I took in a hollow breath, willing myself to pull it together. With a steadying grip, I turned the knob and pushed open the door, only to find Luna sitting inside. Her eyes widened immediately as I entered, and I didn't need to guess why. My appearance spoke for itself— messy hair, flushed cheeks, and the lingering shadow of fear was surely etched into every inch of me.

"Harin!" She shot up, her expressions were a mixture of surprise and worry. "What on earth happened to you?"

I could only stare for a moment, my mind was struggling to keep up, and then forced a shaky smile. "Luna... I didn't expect you to be here." My voice wavered, each word was a struggle to sound unaffected. "It's nothing, really. Just... just I am tired..."

But her eyes swept over me, doubt was etched into her face. She took a hesitant step forward, and the weight of her concern felt both comforting and terrifying. "Nothing? You look like you've been through a storm, Harin. Your face... your hair..."

I opened my mouth to respond, but she cut me off, her tone was softening. "You know you can tell me, right? Did... did someone do something?" She asked, her voice was low and tentative, the words were carrying a protective edge.

"No, Luna, it's nothing like that," I said quickly, while shaking my head. Her words sent a fresh tremor through me, and I knew she could feel it. "I just... accidently slipped because of tiredness as I told you, it was such a busy day, that's all."

Luna sighed, she wasn't quite convinced, but she reached out, her hand was brushing a tangled strand of hair from my cheek. "I only came to say goodbye before leaving for my cousin's wedding in the other town, but..."

She looked at me with a blend of fear and confusion, her eyes were softening as she placed a hand on my shoulder. "Tell me what happened."

My chest tightened at her concern, but I shook my head, forcing a strained smile. "I told you Luna, It's just been an exhausting day, that's all," I insisted, fighting to sound nonchalant. "Please, don't worry about me. You should be focusing on your cousin's wedding."

Luna's eyes narrowed slightly, clearly unconvinced. Her hand tightened on my shoulder, a subtle anchor as I swayed slightly on my feet. "If you say so, Harin. But... if anything is wrong, if someone did something—"

"No, nothing like that," I interrupted quickly, though her words sent a tremor through me. "I promise, it's nothing you need to worry about."

Her gaze softened, and after a moment, she sighed. "Alright, if you say so. But you know I'm here for you." She reached down, brushing a stray lock of hair from my face gently, as if she was a mother to me, "I'll be gone for a few days, but... please take care of yourself?"

I nodded, managing a small smile, and she gave me a lingering, uncertain look before gathering her things and heading to the door. "And I'll be back soon," she added. "So don't get any ideas about hiding things from me. You better be in one piece when I return."

I forced a laugh, and nodded. She gave me one last look and finally stepped out. And as the door clicked shut behind her, the silence settled around me like a heavy weight. Alone again, I let out a shaky exhale, sinking to the floor, I curled my body into itself and tried to process the terror, the humiliation, and the sharp, lingering fear that still gripped me.
