The princess had left for her home a week ago, and now it was just me, standing silently in Taehyung's chamber. The stillness of the room felt suffocating, each passing second was adding to the weight in my chest. My thoughts were a jumbled mess when I heard the door open, and I looked up just in time to see Taehyung enter.

A smirk was tugging at the corners of his lips, his eyes were locking onto me as he approached. "So," he began, his tone was laced with an unsettling calmness, "now it's time to turn everything I said into action."

He casually sat on the bed, crossing one leg over the other, his gaze was never leaving me. I stood still, my eyes were focused on the floor, unwilling to meet his gaze, I could feel the tension thickening in the air.

"So respectful, huh?" His voice was mocking, his words were dripping with sarcasm. "Like it wasn't you challenging me back then, all that foolishness."

I clenched my jaw, irritation was simmering beneath the surface. He loved to taunt, to provoke, and I could feel the weight of his words like a slap against my skin.

"Say what you need from me, Prince," I bit back, keeping my voice as steady as I could, but he wasn't done yet.

His smirk deepened, and without another word, he effortlessly lifted himself from the bed. He stood before me, far too close for comfort. "Let's see, little poor thing... hmmm." His voice was low, taunting, as if savoring my discomfort.

I could feel his presence like a shadow looming over me, each breath I took was feeling heavier than the last.

"You see..." Taehyung's voice broke the silence, cold and casual, "This dirt all over the floor? Clean it."

I blinked, stunned, my mind was struggling to process his words. "Am I YOUR personal maid?" I asked, my voice was betraying a hint of disbelief.

For a moment, his smile disappeared entirely, and his eyes grew sharp, and dangerous. "Now that's the real you..." he muttered, his voice was low as he stepped closer.

I couldn't breathe.

"You know," he continued, his words were slow and deliberate, "there's a prison just below this castle. Deeply dark. Completely alone. And right now, there's only one person down there..." His gaze locked onto mine, and I could feel my heart pounding in my chest. "Want to end up there?"

I froze. Had he just threatened me? My throat went dry, and my stomach twisted in fear, but I couldn't look away. All I could do was stare at the ground, hoping he wouldn't see the tremor in my hands.

"What should I do?" My voice was quieter now, almost resigned.

A wicked smirk spread across his face, the kind of expression that sent shivers down my spine. "First clean, and then I'll tell you what more." His tone was commanding, like he knew I had no choice but to obey.

I swallowed hard, unable to speak, as the weight of the situation pressed down on me. Taehyung was right. I had no say in this.

I silently began cleaning the vast chamber, my movements were slow and deliberate. The air felt heavy, suffocating, like the walls themselves were closing in on me. This wasn't like anything I had ever done before. The first few days of serving as the Princess' personal maid had been grueling, but eventually, I got used to it—the routine, the tasks, the endless hours of silence. But this... this room, this chamber, felt like a prison. And the man whose presence lingered in every corner of it? That made everything even worse.
