Harin's Perspective:

I entered the room with a tray full of fruits, but the princess wasn't in the main chamber. I sighed and turned toward the dimen,

There she was sitting on the couch, her head was resting against the back.

'Princess, here, eat some fruits...' I said softly, while stepping towards her, I was just trying to offer some comfort.

She opened her eyes, adjusted her posture and sighed, 'What was the need for this, Harin?' she asked, her voice was weary but still gentle. I placed the tray on the table and kneeled before her. "Your Highness, you haven't eaten anything since yesterday..."

She shook her head, her expressions were pained. "Am I in any condition to eat, Harin? Father still hasn't returned, even though Taehyung sent him a message about Jong Gyu's health..." Her voice trailed off, and I could see the fear and frustration tightening her features.

I sighed softly. "I understand what you're feeling, Your Highness. But you need to take care of yourself, too. Prince Jong Gyu wouldn't want to see you like this, and Mr. Han did say he's going to do everything he can. It's just a disease—there must be a cure for it."

Jiseul's eyes flickered with doubt. "Harin, he said it's advanced. You know how hard it is to cure advance diseases and that too in their critical stages." Her gaze shifted out the window, lost in thought.

"I know, Princess," I replied trying to be gentle as much as I could. "But you have to hold onto hope, okay? Please, at least eat these. It will help you stay strong."

For a moment, the room was filled with heavy silence. Jiseul sighed before nodding and finally reached for the tray. I smiled as she began to eat the fruits, and picked up the bowl of salad. I was watching her whereas my mind was racing with its own tangled web of thoughts.

That chamber, the book I had found... It was written by Taehyung, and it spoke of betrayal by his brother. Which brother? Could it be Jong Gyu? No, it couldn't be him. He's always been kind and loyal. And even if Taehyung meant Jong Gyu, what would be the point of betrayal? Jong Gyu is already the eldest, and the one destined to inherit the throne. What could Taehyung have meant?  My head was spinning with questions, and I knew answer of none.

Jiseul finished eating, and I quietly took the bowl from her hands, and placed it back on the tray. As I stood up, the question that had been gnawing at me slipped out before I could stop it. "Princess, do you have another brother as well?"

The moment the words left my mouth, I regretted it. Why would I ask such a thing now? Argh! Her brow arched, and she stared at me. "What did you say?"
