Author's Perspective:

The palace was alive with activity. Lavish tapestries were hanging from every column, and garlands of fresh, fragrant flowers were carefully strung along the walls, filling the air with their sweet scent. Servants bustled through the halls, carrying everything from trays of delicacies to the elaborate gowns meant for the occasion. Jewelers, tailors, and decorators were darting in and out of the rooms, each adding a final touch to the grand scene that would host the upcoming union.

In the midst of this orchestrated chaos, Harin stood at the edge of the corridor, watching as maids scurried past with silken robes and trays of golden accessories, their hurried footsteps were echoing through the halls. Though she wore a pleasant expression, her heart was heavy with unspoken fears.

She felt a gentle hand on her shoulder and turned to find Luna beside her, a sympathetic smile was on her face. "Are you okay?" Luna asked softly, her gaze was filled with concern.

Harin nodded, though her eyes betrayed her inner turmoil. "Everything feels so... surreal," she replied, her voice was barely above a whisper. "It's like we're celebrating something that shouldn't happen."

Luna squeezed her shoulder reassuringly. "Maybe fate has a different plan, and don't act like you are the one getting married" she murmured, casting a glance down the hallway where a group of courtiers whispered among themselves, sneaking glances at closed the chamber door.

Harin tried her best but couldn't, during all this time, she got emotionally attached to Jiseul even without knowing. It all was going so deep within her and she was unaware of it all or may be she could feel it because she knew what it meant, as a princess.

.................................

Elsewhere, Taehyung was watching the preparations unfold from a window in his own chamber, his expressions were dark and unreadable. Jimin stood beside him, his face was mirroring the tension in Taehyung's. They both knew Jiseul's agreement to marry Daewoon was a sacrifice, a painful decision born out of duty rather than love.

Taehyung clenched his fists. "I can't stand by and watch this, especially whatever you told me, Jimin" he muttered, more to himself than to Jimin. His mind raced with ideas, each one was more desperate than the last.

Jimin placed a hand on Taehyung's shoulder. "We're doing all we can," he said softly. "But for now, we have to endure this, even if it feels wrong."

"Endure? Jimin... Minhee is using Jiseul just to get one family member of her out of Park Chaewon's grip? He took the balances of Han family in his hands secretly, though he belonged to another kingdom... it is an invasion, we should take actions against it and rather than taking a political step she used my sister as a pawn? My sister for a mere member of her shitty family!?"

Jimin lowered his gaze, understanding Taehyung's anger all too well. "I know, Taehyung," he said in a quiet voice. "It's unfair and cruel. Minhee's motives have always been selfish, and using Jiseul as a bargaining piece for her own gain..." He trailed off, unable to complete the thought, his jaw was tight with resentment.

Taehyung clenched his fists even tighter, his knuckles were turning white. The anger within him felt like a fire that wouldn't extinguish, stoked by the helplessness of the situation. "Minhee hides behind her titles, but I see her for what she is," he muttered, his voice was barely concealing his rage. "But Father... oh, the king... he doesn't see it. Or he chooses not to."
