It was not so long ago when I fell in love with her... That one night, when I was wandering alone in the castle garden, gazing at the stars, lost in thoughts of my solitary self, my purpose, and any future I might wish to build. Then, in a single moment, my eyes found her. The night wind was tousling her hair, strands were falling carelessly over her shoulders while others were streaming back in the cool night air. Her gaze on the moon was unwavering, and I wished, with a strange longing, that I could be the moon she looked at with such desire. Standing on her balcony, she looked so serene, so untouchable... so divine, ethereal, and regal that I felt myself drop to my knees in awe. Ah, I fell for her in that single moment.
At that time, royalty didn't feel so far 'cause I just wanted to hold onto. Perhaps, it was my mistake. I forgot what I was and what she was born as... I was just a shadow in the light, because it's always the lover!

Harin's Perspective:
Princess Jiseul was walking restlessly across the chamber, her footsteps were echoing softly against the polished stone floor. There was an urgency in her movements, a dance of anxiety that reflected the storm brewing within her. I stood in the corner, my gaze was casting down, feeling the weight of her turmoil. Suddenly, she sank into the seat by the window, sunlight was spilling in and illuminating her troubled features. "Harin," she called, her voice was a mix of frustration and vulnerability.
I quickly nodded, my heart was racing, and moved to the spot she had indicated. As I settled into the chair, I noticed the confusion etched on her face, her eyes were flickering with uncertainty. "Is there something I can do, Your Highness?" I asked softly, concern was tightening my chest. She offered a strained smile, but it was laced with distress.
"Harin... I can't shake the feeling of dread about my impending marriage to Park Daewoon," she admitted, her voice was trembling slightly. "It all is happening so suddenly, and I feel... trapped."
My heart ached for her, the weight of her words was sinking in. "Your Highness, I understand how overwhelming this must be. But you must trust Prince Taehyung," I urged gently, wishing to comfort her. "He cares for you deeply. You have a bond that can withstand challenges. Trust that he will support you through this."
She fell silent, lost in her thoughts, a frown was etching deeper lines on her forehead. "Why is Minhee trying so hard to get me married?" she whispered, her voice was barely audible, laced with frustration and confusion.
I could see the turmoil in her eyes, a blend of worry and rebellion was there. "I think, Minhee likely sees it as a means to strengthen alliances for the kingdom," I replied, choosing my words carefully. "But your happiness should come first. You deserve to make your own choices, not have them forced upon you."
Jiseul's gaze drifted to the window, where the sunlight danced through the leaves, casting fleeting shadows across the floor. "It feels like I'm losing control of my own life," she confessed, her voice was thick with emotion. "Like I'm just a pawn in someone else's game."
"You are not a pawn, Your Highness," I assured her, my tone was firm. "You have the power to shape your own destiny. Remember that your heart knows what it wants. Trust in that."
