Elements: The Coming Darkness

I must be insane

I froze and stared at Cyrus. I really didn't know what to say I mean I could hardly believe what I just saw myself. "Uh.... Well you see," I began trying to think up a good lie. When I failed I decided just to tell him the truth, "Yeah I think you did."

His eyes widened and he looked like he was about flee again but I grabbed his shoulder to stop him. He jerked out of my grip and exclaimed rather loudly, "I must be insane!" Then he fled away from me before I could react, I then once again gave chase. Although I have to give it to this kid he is fast I mean really fast. I am defiantly taller than this kid but I still couldn't catch up.

"Kid slow down!" I yelled, starting to get angry, "I said slow down!" I aimed my hands at him and unexpectedly dark energy flew at him blasting a hole in the ground where he was running. It blew him off his feet and he landed with a thump a few inches from where the hole was.

I stared at my hands they were still glowing a faint black light. Horrified I backed up still mesmerized by my still glowing hands. "What the hell are you?" Cyrus yelled jerking my attention away from my hands. He was standing in front of me a scowl on his face. "Well?" He asked again.

"I... I don't know anymore." I said quietly looking at the pavement avoiding the hole I put in the ground.

"Cody!" I heard my brother yell from behind me. I didn't move as he came to stand beside me cocking his head at a weird angle so he could hear better. "What happened?" He asked me still listening intently.

"Your psycho brother almost killed me with his bare hands!" Answered Cyrus drawing mine and Tobias's attention. "Cyrus?" my brother said uncertainty.

"That's my name don't wear it out." He answered seeming to relax and lose his hard tone in his voice. Cyrus then sighed and locked eye contact with me, "I am ready to talk now as long as you don't try to kill me again." He said putting emphasis on kill.

In a matter of minutes we were at our house and sitting on the couch. Cyrus nervously tapping his fingers on the arm chair. I couldn't help but look closely at the kid in front of me. He seemed like a normal kid in looks he had dark red hair and a skinny kid build but his eyes were different they stood out. They were a electric blue eyes that seemed to glitter in our dimly lit living room almost as if they were alive. Suddenly Tobias walked in carrying the three cubes that Flamious gave to us earlier.

I tore my gaze away from the kid beside me and watched as my brother sat the cubes on the coffee counter. He then sat in the middle of us taking up the little space that was left.

I decided to start the story from the beginning and told him about what I found when I got home and meeting Flamious. He listened in silence as I told him about the zordianion cubes and when I was done he was still silent.

"Well?" I asked him trying to get him to say something.

He glanced at me and then Tobias and then back to me, "So...." He began, "Why is there three?" He asked pointing at the three cubes in front of us.

"I don't know." I answered truthfully. I really did not know why he gave us three when there was only two of us there unless.....

"Hey Cyrus how long where you watching?" I asked him. He looked at me funny, "I was there a couple minutes before that wolf thingy pulled out the cubes but I was too far away to hear what you guys were saying." I nodded my suspicions confirmed, I then stood up and grabbed the third cube and set it in Cyrus's lap. Once he touched it it started to glow vibrantly lighting up the room with its silver glow.

"Whoa!" Cyrus yelped brushing the cube off of his lap once it lost contact with it the glow subsided to a faint whisper. We stared at the cube for a good long moment until Cyrus broke the silence.

"So....." He began, "Did yours do that?" I shook my head wondering why his did that and not ours.

I was interrupted from my thoughts from the familiar sound of a vehicle being heard outside causing me to look up in shock, "Moms home!" I yelped with my brother.
