(Alexis's POV)

"Basil are you there?" I asked through the talkie getting nothing but silence on the other end.

"He not picking up?" Colton asked from next to me surprising me and causing me to jump.

I clutched the talkie in my hand tightly before turning around to look at him my eyes wide. "Sorry didn't mean to surprise you." He said bemused before looking around the hallway that we were currently at. "Do you think they ran into trouble?" He asked me a hint of worry on his face.

I sighed before resting against the wall and looking down the hallway. We had found they way out so now we were waiting for the others to answer back. "I don't know there's no answer." I replied watching him.

He just shook his head, "They'll be fine Basil will look after them." He told me resting a comforting hand on my shoulder.

I nodded, "Yeah I know," before I turned and looked at him, "So I never asked before but what's your deal with Basil?" I asked him generally curious.

He let out a small chuckle at that, "Man me and Basil go way back. He and Jared are orphans you know and I guess Basil wouldn't leave Jared and they would have been split up so he went on his own. That's when I met him he got an under the table job at the auto-shop that my foster family worked at. He worked the mornings with me and after that I started to hang out with him more. That's how I found out he lived on his own I'm not joking when I say this but they literally lived in some abandoned house."

"Oh really I didn't really know much about him." I admitted feeling a little guilty.

"He ended up having to move because his and my recent ways to get money kind of got noticed. The cops were after him but they didn't know about me although I wasn't just going to let Basil run off without me so I went with them." He explained I was silent I had no idea that they had run ins with the law. "That was when we were 14 and after that I stayed with him as we moved to different states to avoid the law and such right up till these bastards grabbed us." He finished looking at me to see my reaction.

I was silent not really knowing what to say but I also wasn't angry that they stole knowing that they needed it. I was about to say something when my Talkie went off.

"Alexis? It's Josh." It transmitted I quickly pressed the button noticing the distress in Josh's voice.

"Josh what is it is something wrong?" I asked quickly before letting go of the button to hear his reply.

There was silence before he answered, "Cody and Cyrus ran off." He dragged out waiting for my answer.

"What!" I practically screeched before covering my mouth and asking again a bit quieter Ashton looking at me funny from in front of the door.

"I'm sorry Alexis I shouldn't have let them run off." Josh said defeat evident in his voice.

"What about Kyla is she there as well?" I asked and I practically could feel him flinch at that.

"No Lo siento, no debí dejarlos escapar!" He cried resorting to speaking Spanish. I knew that he only does that when he was extremely upset so I tried to calm him down.

"Josh its okay I understand don't freak." I soothed.

"I'm sorry Alexis I must seem like such a screw up to you." He said upset.

"No it's alright they probably would have run off even if I was there." I said even though I probably would have followed them at least.

"What should we-" He began when he was cut off the line going dead.

"Josh!" I yelled into the talkie but he didn't pick up.

Colton raised a questioning eyebrow at me but I just called for Josh again.

I kept trying to get a hold of him till finally Colton put a hand on my shoulder and sent me a stern look. "Alexis obviously something happened but yelling into a talkie isn't going to help." He told me for once without his usual bite in his voice. I looked up at him but he quickly turned away removing his hand from my shoulder and looking towards where Ashton and Mady were located.

I looked too as I noticed Mady running towards us her eyes wide. "Alexis! Colton! Five people are heading towards the door." She warned.

"Soldiers?" I asked quickly.

"No I don't know who they are." She answered back looking down before looking up again quickly her blonde hair covering half of her left eye. "But Ashton's still over there!" She said glancing back worriedly.

"Let's go." I ordered racing down the hallway towards the exit hearing voices ahead. Finally I turned the last corner and I saw Ashton her whip out as she looked dangerously towards the four people in front of her.

They were armed but their weapons were sheathed and one of them had their hands in the air in a form of surrender. There was one female dressed in a purple and black jumpsuit her black hair tied in a long black braid. She smiled warmly at us. Standing next to her was a kid who looked the same age as her and he wore a red and black suit with a spade on the chest he also had black hair and he wore a pair of goggles. Standing next to him was the tallest and most likely the leader he had brown hair but I couldn't see his eyes over his white and blue domino mask.

Finally there was the kid who had his hands in the air. He had black hair and his suit was silver but it had paint stains all over it. Just like the leader I couldn't see his eyes because of the mask.

"We're here to help." The leader said watching me. I hesitated before I put down my weapon the others besides Colton doing the same.

"My name is Aerrow and this is Gamble and Nemesis." He said pointing towards the two black clad people. "And this is Painter." He finished on the youngest. "We have three people from your team Tobias, Basil and Julie." He told us my eyes widened.

"We know where the others are but we want you to go and join up with your other friends." He told me when it looked like I was about to follow him. "Painter will lead you to them." He said before he floated in the air and took off down the hallway the two others following on foot. Painter looked at us before he sighed, "Follow me." He said.
