(Cyrus's POV)

I let out a relieved breath as the battle seemed to be over. I looked over at Cody but he was staring at the ninja dude his eyes wide as if he had seen a ghost. I quickly raced over to him putting my hand on his shoulder to pull him out of whatever daze he was in. "Cody? You okay?" I asked glaring at the ninja dude but he remained emotionless as if he couldn't even see me.

Cody just looked at me blankly but he quickly recovered and shook his head. "I'm okay." He said looking once more at the ninja dude than towards Tatem who still had the doc pinned his tail flicking to the side angrily.

"So your Tatem huh?" I asked deciding to give Cody time to recover from whatever was going on in his head. Instead I raced next to the panther. I was a bit surprised that he was well a cat but frankly this whole week was weird so why not?

Tatem looked over at me his yellow eyes narrowed suddenly in his distraction the doc slithered out of his grasp freeing his neck. "X-15 the shadows call you!" He managed just as Tatem pinned him again in a quick movement. I was about to ask what the hell he meant when a sharp hit landed at the back of my head knocking me to the ground and making my vision swim. The whole room seemed to be plunged into darkness and I heard Tatem let out a cry of pain as I got to my feet ignoring the throbbing pain at the back of my head where I was struck.

Suddenly a blast like a bomb going off went off from a bit ahead of me knocking me back and into something soft. I heard the gasp of breath as my body was thrown on top of Cody blasting us back against the far wall. I recovered quicker this time although my body ached and I had multiple burns on my body. Cody seemed unscratched though and I realized I must have absorbed most of the blast.

My vision was darkening as I looked back where the explosion originated. There was just a large hole that revealed what seemed to be a large ice field. The doc and ninja dude were gone and Tatem was on the other side of the room his fur slightly burned but otherwise he looked okay.

"What happened?" I asked my voice straining. I'm okay though. I promised myself.

"X-15 blew up the wall." Tatem said within my mind. I was so much out of it though that I didn't even register his words.

"That's nice." I said as I collapsed giving in to the darkness.

"Cyrus!" Someone yelled. Alright I guess I'm not okay. I thought as I gave in to unconsciousness.

I could hear the brief mumbling of voices as I slowly started to creep back into consciousness. What happened I wondered as I let my mind float not wanting to wake up just yet. I could hear voices and I it felt like I was being carried. On reflex I moved closer to the person carrying me once comfortable I ended up passing out again.

When I finally woke up again the sky was black. I looked up at it my eyes noting the stars immediately finding Ursa Major. I heard slight snoring and I realized I was still laying on whoever was carrying me. I looked up into the pale face of Cody who was snoring softly his face occasionally scrunching up in some type of pain before he relaxed. "Cody?" I asked blinking as I started to sit up.

He let out a breath as he stumbled awake his eyes widening as he looked around in alarm before they stopped on me. "Cyrus your awake!" He said unable to stop his enthusiasm. I was a bit surprised at this but was even more surprised as he pulled me into a hug. A second later I hugged him back even though his behaviour was still confusing me.

"What happened?" I asked feeling a strong sense of dejavu.

"You had a severe concussion and apparently you were suffering from starvation." He answered although he sounded like he wasn't telling me the whole truth. He let me go and it was then that I realized I was still laying on him. Immediately a blush came on my face although I would deny it later as I pulled myself away from him.
