(Cody's POV)

"I don't have any parents." I heard Cyrus say before a shot rang out and I saw my mom collapse. At the same type some kind of smoke filled the room causing me and the others to reach for our throats and collapsing on the ground. I saw the blood pooling out of a wound on my mom As her eyes glazed over before I closed my eyes giving in to the creeping darkness.

I woke up to voices around me. I didn't recognize anyone of them but they seemed to be to the right of me. I slowly opened one of my eyes immediately a burning light creeping in and attacking it. My eyes finally adjusted to the light and I looked around judging my surroundings.

We were in some type of armoured van and I was in some kind of pod thing my hands and feet bound by to the sides with steel wires. I looked toward the voices and spotted three armoured men talking to each other. Two were male and one was female they were joking and laughing at each other not looking at me.

I turned away from them and looked to the left of me my brother Tobias was in a similar position as me and as I liked to the right again I saw Cyrus as well. A laugh from the soldiers grabbing my attention again and I directed my gaze back to the men ignoring my rising headache. I couldn't really understand what they were saying though and I started to pull at my restraints it didn't break and I just swayed for a second.

I ignored my headache and pulled harder on the restraints ignoring the pain it was causing me.

"You won't get out." I heard someone in front of me causing me to glare at the person. He was older than the two males over there and had a light scar covering his left face.

I gave him a death glare and kept struggling. I felt a sharp pain hit the side of my head and I stared shocked at the guy in front of me. He slapped me I thought outraged at his smirking face he was saying something but I wasn't listening rage and hate was all I felt.

I started to glow with negative energy the powers consuming me and my usually dark green eyes turned pitch black and glowed unnaturally. The soldier stepped back and I could smell a hint of fear off of him. I snarled and ripped out of my restraints smashing through the glass and tackling him to the ground.

He yelped and the other soldiers raced forward to help there leader. I turned to them for a second letting out an animalistic screech and leaping on the closest person I knocked him over and started sending blows to his chest completely controlled by my rage. I was about to finish him off when I felt a sharp pain hit my right arm sending shocks of pain through my body.

I clutched my arm to stop the bleeding and turned towards the culprit. It was the leader who he was standing there with his gun glaring at me. I glared back just as intently. The women and the other soldier were aiming there weapons at me and they had me surrounded. I growled and aimed my left hand at the woman immediately the dark energy shot out and just barely missing her. She ducked down as a huge hole was blasted into the sides opening the van and causing a sharp wind to rip into the van.

I was still staring towards the woman that I didn't notice the leader come up behind me before it was too late. He clipped some sort of collar on me and immediately electric shocks tore through my body. I let out a strangled scream before collapsing hitting my head on the ground and blacking out.

Pain was all I felt as I opened my eyes and tried to look around. My head was pounding and my arm was a dull throb. 'What happened?' I thought before the memories of before flashed in my mind.

The headache was getting intense and I went to hold my head when I realized. "What the hell!" I whispered looking at my bound hands and feet. I was on some type of what looked like a medical bed and I was hooked up to a couple machines. I was also wearing some kind of jumpsuit that was solid black with glowing black linings as well.

I heard a door be opened and a guy wearing a scientist type clothes walked in followed by an important official I could tell by his badge. They both walked up to me the scientist looked nervous while the official was just glaring at me which I returned.

The scientist walked to the side of me and pulled out a needle filled with a blackish liquid with yellow and blue specks. He put it up to my left arm and injected it into my arm causing me to scream out in pain.

(The officials POV)

I smiled as the kid screamed he started shaking uncontrollably until he finally fainted from the pain. I undid his restraints and flung him over my shoulder heading towards his new home.

I felt a hand grab my free shoulder and turned around to see the scientist Doc. Adams looking at me worriedly. "Which one." He asked me at barely above a whisper. I smiled and turned around again but not before uttering, "Tatem."

(Cody's POV)

I was woken by an indescribable pain all over my body but mostly in my left arm. I glanced at my arm, it still had the bullet wound from earlier but it was scabbed over and I could move it with minimal pain. I stood up stumbling a little but catching my self and standing up completely.

Where am I now? I thought as I looked around I was in a dimly lit room with a dark gray floor and what looked like pure stone walls. I then noticed something and walked up to investigate it the walls had huge claw marks digging into the stone by an animal that looked even bigger than Flamious. I stood up and looked around nervously. I looked into a corner and I thought I saw something move.

"Who's there?" I stood up tall trying to make myself look threatening. I saw it move again then it started padding towards me. I finally got a good look at it and I stumbled back shocked. "Wha.. What are you" I asked uncertainly staring at the huge beast in front of me. It was a black panther but its size was huge I've been to the zoo and saw one but this one was unusually huge. It's eyes were a glittering yellow with a hint of intelligence in them and its huge black tail was flicking side to side.

It stopped in front of me and sat down licking its paw, <Do not be afraid of me. I mean you no harm> I heard something say in my mind. I jumped back shocked, "How?" I asked never taking my eyes off of the beast in front of me. <I am sorry for scaring you but as I said I mean you no harm.> it said again I turned and stared at the beast in front of me, "Who or What are you?" I exclaimed.

<My name is Tatem what is yours?> he asked.

"My name is Cody." I said before a loud crash was heard.
