Chapter 20

Third person's pov

One year later

“It's been a month! Gosh I missed you two!” Mia cries, hugging Jules and Kiara.

It's been six months since their graduation. So as life demands the group of friends were separated proceeding to their own dreams. Kevin and Mia moved in together so it wasn't a bother for them but one month is the longest the girls stayed away from each other so it's their reunion today.

Many things changed in their lives but their love for each other remains the same. The same enthusiasm, same happiness and same excitement whenever they see each other as if their different careers doesn't matter.

Mia was appointed under a famous designer. Jules started working in an entertainment company and Kiara in a designing company. Meanwhile Jacob got a job in an art museum and Kevin is in a digital art company.

After graduation they were busy and stressed about what to do but in a year they are settled in their own ways.

Jacob and Kiara started dating as they both caught feelings for each other while hanging out together and Jules has a boyfriend who works in her company. Still their love life doesn't hinder their friendship when they are in their group. They went on many trips, enjoyed together and made beautiful memories that they'll never forget. Even if they don't meet often they group call every week and their group chat ‘J2K2M' is still active as before. It's from where it all started. And they vowed that the group will always remain active. Their bickerings and small arguments never changed.

“So it's your one year anniversary tomorrow?” Kiara asks, excitedly.

“Yeah.” Mia says sipping on her bubble tea.

“What are your plans?” Jules asks.

“Kevin says it's a surprise.” Mia chirps.

They talk for hours and even the other people throw glances at them.

After exchanging hugs and being on the verge of tearing up they all left to their own houses not before promising to meet up soon. Mia walks to get a cab when she sees the place she and Kevin met for the first time. She still remembers she was late and was rushing to the place while Jules was calling her to come soon.

She didn't know that the pair of foxy blue orbs that caught her eyes, the moment she kept her foot inside the cafe would be the same she'd never get tired of her entire life. She's proud of herself because she was the one to approach Kevin first not knowing that it'll be the start of her own beautiful love story.

She frowns when she feels something inside her hoodie’s pocket. She shoves her hand inside to get it, it's a packet. She widens her eyes when there are three condom packets. How did this get in her pocket? She palms her face when she realises that Jules must've placed this in her pocket when they were hugging. There was a small note too.

Have fun on your first anniversary. We won't want a baby on your next anniversary, do we? ;)

Mia smiles. They still didn't move to the next step in their relationship yet because this was a busy year for both of them. They were on the edge of semester exams when they started dating. And then they got busy moving together and the first year of the job was a busy one. Mia once met Kevin's parents and they didn't seem much interested in their son's dating life… and the same reaction was of her uncle's and aunt's. Still both families know about their relationship.
