Third person's pov
A groan echoed in the empty hallways as it was the only sound that resonated inside a certain apartment after a while and it was indeed true.
Kevin dipped his paintbrush in a glass of water to clean it.
He sighed in relief and stretched his hands groaning because his muscles felt sore after working on the painting for a while.
He took some steps back to take in the sight of the canvas, and he felt satisfied.
He rubbed his eyes and walked to his bedroom after washing his hands, putting on sweatpants.
It was already 3:00 am and he must wake up at 8:00 am.
Within seconds, sleep engulfed him because of tiredness.

"You look tired, dude. Didn't get enough sleep?" Jacob asked and Kevin replied, shaking his head.
Their lectures just got over and they're walking to the canteen to pick something to eat. But their steps came to halt when Jacob's phone rang and he excused himself to answer that. Kevin nodded, waiting for him to return back, while tapping his foot. It's his habit because he hates being in a crowd . Being with Jacob distracts his mind, as he babbles a lot and Kevin listens.
Kevin stares at the group of boys and girls and wonders, will he ever be able to have a group of friends of his own? He then turns his head and watches a couple giggling with each other while taking a selfie. He wonders will he ever be able to find a lover? And instantly Mia crosses his mind. It was ironic how Mia came to his mind while he saw the couple.
His series of thoughts were interrupted by gentle tapping on his shoulders and he turned around expecting Jacob. His eyes widened dramatically and a gasp escaped his lips when his foxy blue eyes were met by a pair of black doe eyes.
And Mia liked the male's reaction was an understatement because she loved the reaction. The way Kevin's eyes always soften when they're met by Mia's eyes. Kevin always looks uncomfortable but when he sees Mia it gives him strange comfort and the funny thing is Mia knows this.
She knows that Kevin doesn't feel anxiety when he's talking with her and that too when they just met once but what's special for Kevin is... they hugged thrice in just one visit.
When he left Mia's apartment that day, the whole ride Mia's thoughts occupied his mind as she's still with him... not physically but mentally.
He engaged himself in painting using the paintbrush Mia gave him. As cringe as it sounds Kevin found his painting better because he was using that paintbrush or maybe it was just the fact that he was using the paintbrush more efficiently because it's the first gift someone ever gave him?
"Hey, Mr. Handsome." Mia grinned widely, waving her hand.
Kevin blinked his eyes multiple times to ensure he's not hallucinating. Is Mia a genie or what... how can she appear at the same moment Kevin thought of her and too in his university.
"What're you doing here?" Kevin asked surprisingly.
"Ouch, that's so rude of you. You didn't like seeing me here?" Mia pouted.
"No. No. It's not like that. You got me wrong." Kevin visibly panicked. Mia let out a chuckle.
"So you did like seeing me here." Mia exclaimed.
Kevin nodded.
"Actually I came here with my friends but Jules met Jacob near the washroom and Kia went to the nearby library to grab some books. So instead of third wheeling between siblings I came here to find you." Mia smiled.
