Third person's pov

“Tell me what I heard before is a lie. You're lying!” Mia yells. But she flinched when the guy in front of her gripped her jaw harshly.

“So pathetic you are, baby. Pretty mouths like you are just used for pleasuring others. It'll be better if you just cooperate with me, yeah?” He releases his grip and fists her hair harshly making her wince in pain.

“Let go of me, John!” Mia shouts pushing the guy harshly.

“You said you've started having feelings for me.” The guy utters gritting his teeth moving closer to the scared girl.

“Because you made me feel loved but all you were doing was playing! You played with my innocence. I thought of you as a gentleman but all you are is an ASSHOLE!!” Mia falls to the ground when a harsh slap lands on her cheek. She could feel the warm blood oozing out of the corner of her lips.

Johnathan was about to grab her hair but the door pushed open. Jules and Kiara rushes in with police behind them.

That incident almost took all the brightness Mia had in her life.

One week.

Yeah, Mia spent one week without talking to anyone, without taking any sleep. Jules helped her break down so that she could let go of all of her pain at once. And that helped, Mia took many months to get back to her happy and bubbly self. But the incident still had a big impact on her, giving her trust issues.

Trust.

A simple word but holds a very big meaning to one's life. Mia was sure she wasn't in love with Jonathan because she did feel off sometimes about it but she ignored because of the said guy's manipulative nature. They never confessed to each other but Mia thought that actions speak louder than words so they were best friends but still Johnathan tried often to come closer to Mia saying it's okay to be that close ignoring the fact that Mia felt uncomfortable, he shouted at her a couple of times when she rejected his kiss. Mia wanted their relationship to have a proper name before doing anything but Johnathan always changes the subject.

“What are we?” Once Mia asked.

“Best friends!” He said, showing his sick smile that once Mia thought was beautiful.

“Friends don't try to kiss on the lips.” Mia said, earning a groan from him.

“Argh Mia, you just ruin the mood always.” Johnathan shouts, throwing the vase on the floor and Mia flinches from the loud sound.

He pretended so well that Mia didn't think that he was pretending all along. Mia didn't try to make more friends because she was scared that she'd get her heart broken. Jules and Kiara earned her trust by staying beside her at that time. She never thought of being in a relationship again. Although she didn't love Johnathan, she was attracted to the guy. She liked and admired him a lot and was sure that she'll fall very soon but things messed up.

But now love is knocking at her door again and she's sure that Kevin means much more than what Johnathan meant to her. And this time her heart tells her to go for it but a little part of her is still scared and she wants to vanish that part.

It's been a week. Mia's test is finished and now it's the trip time. All three girls gathered at Mia's apartment to spend the night and will leave for the trip together.

The night went in a blink with their pillow fights, cooking dinner together and cuddling to sleep.

The sun rose in all its glory and Kiara is the first one to wake up, she nudges the other two one by one. Mia covers her eyes and nuzzles to her pillow and Jules groans.
